Aveda Be Curly Enhancer, 6.7-Ounce Tube

For some background: I have long, fine curly hair that frizzes easily and lots of times the hair on the underside of my head doesn't curl until the very bottom, it just frizzes up and obscures the rest of the hair that is curly. I would look at pictures of me and even if I dressed nicely and had great makeup, my hair was always the sore spot. I found out about this product because I got my hair done at an Aveda salon. First my stylist used Aveda Be curly Style-Prep 3.4 oz before adding this product, then created curls with her fingers and blow-dried using an infuser. I got to see how the product works long-term because she gave me samples to take home. I love it! It's a bit pricey but I don't have to use tons of it like I do with the cheap stuff, plus it works immensely better. My hair is shiny and manageable and so soft I can barely stop touching it when it's just been washed. The hair on the underside of my head still doesn't curl like I want it to but it doesn't frizz anymore and I discovered that scrunching it with a bit of gel when I'm setting my style helps a lot. I feel like I rediscovered my curls after using these Aveda products. I highly recommend them to anyone who's tired of having unmanageable curls and longs to have great hair in pictures like I did!

I got this as a gift, and repurchased it myself. It is a daily go-to for me. I have wavy/curly hair and it helps tame the curls while feeling pretty weightless and non-greasy and gross. I pair it with another product because my hair dresser says 2 is a minimum lol, but I occasionally use it just on its own. Highly recommend. In fact, PLEASE buy it so they keep selling it!!

I was fortunate enough to be educated in an Aveda store by an associate who knew her stuff! I told her I was looking for a product that helped hair such as mine: frizzy and curly/wavy without form most of the time, and pretty curly/wavy when it wants to be (1 or 2 times a month...). She recommended the "be curly" line and even had me try it in the store. Having used moose before to keep my waves tight throughout the day, I was unhappy with the gunky heavy feel that moose gave my hair. Be curly felt incredibly light and was virtually non-weighted once it dried. My hair looked much much curlier/wavier than it ever has, and there was no frizz! I was so impressed! I was also angry for having taken 2 decades to find this product. I naturally jumped on Amazon and subscribed to this product. While you can apply this product when your hair is post-shower-wet, I recommend applying it when your hair has dried a bit and is more damp rather than wet. When your hair is just damp, the product seems to make your curls much bouncier and bodied, as opposed to limper and flatter if applied when completely wet. Just a suggestion. But you can always try both ways to see what works best with your hair. Since I've started embracing my natural curls I've been on the hunt for a curl enhancer that wasn't too heavy and didn't leave my hair feeling stiff or sticky. I had watched a few videos that mentioned Aveda Be Curly Enhancer so I thought I'd give it a try. My first impression of Be Curly was that its scent left something to be desired and that it was thinner than expected. I used a nickel-sized amount in my damp hair and tried it both with a diffuser on high heat, but low air volume and then letting my hair air dry with the product on it. I used Be Curly after washing and conditioning my hair, then using a leave-in conditioner. What I discovered was the Be Curly left my hair feeling soft and not at all crunchy. My curls were not well defined when heat and a diffuser was not used, so air drying - at least for me - is out with this product. But the soft curls I achieved when diffusing after using this product made me happy. This lightweight curl enhancer did a good job and left no noticeable scent on my hair once it had dried. While it's a little on the pricey side, it's worth it for soft curls. I have curls that fall into the 2b to 3a area with thick, porous hair. This product did not dry out my hair and gave mild hold without the use of gel to lock the curls in place. I'll be buying more Aveda Be Curly and recommend it to others who want soft curls and don't mind diffusing to get them. What I found was

Love it. Smells like an old lady lowkey but it works great for my thin hair. The consistency is very liquidy which again is good for my thin hair. It doesn’t really give a hold, but adds some shine and moisturizes my hair pretty good.

I've been cycling through a bunch of highly-reviewed products for curly hair ever since I decided to stop straightening my locks, and hands-down, this is the best of them so far. It leaves my hair soft and crunch-free. I usually let my hair dry a little bit, then apply a quarter-sized amount and then scrunch with my hands while using an old blow dryer until nearly dry. Then I let it air-dry the rest of the way. I'm still searching for the perfect finish-it-up product to tame any residual frizzies, but as a base product this is the way to go.

I will never understand why companies discontinue their best-selling products. I discovered this curl cream late in the game and it’s absolutely perfect and from what I understand people have been loving it for years, but now it’s discontinued and replaced with a new version that I admittedly haven’t used but the reviews aren’t great. I can see the need to innovate, but perhaps offer both products. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, Aveda!

It keeps my curls formed through the day without any more frizz than I’d encounter in using aussie, not your mother’s, or shea moisture. I expected better performance with the frizz control than these big bargain store finds so I may buy again but I may cut the price tag and use one of those. As far as scent, it has a very slight scent that I can’t quite place. It doesn’t weigh down my hair or any of that.

J'ai tout essayé, et ce crème Aveda est LE MEILLEUR. Il ne pèse pas, il aide les cheveux à onduler sans être collant ni artificiel. Et cela sent bon. C'est cher, mais c'est du qualité absolu et il suffit de très peu à chaque usage.

Buen gel para rizos, pero en mi opinión no tan bueno como Aveda Nutri-Gel Curl Gelee. Ese producto no fue ofrecido.

Seit etwa 3 Jahren nutze ich dieses Produkt für meine Naturlocken. Ich liebe es! Es läßt sich gut einarbeiten und verklebt die Haare nicht, sondern pflegt sie und sorgt dafür, dass die Locken schön fallen. Das Produkt ist eher teuer, hält aber auch lange, da man keine Riesen-Mengen davon benötigt. Und: Es riecht auch nicht unangenehm. Absolute Empfehlung!
