**Q: How is this for hand embroidery?  I want to embroider the edges of a cape with a plaited stitch.**
A: I used the DMC metallic embroidery thread for cross stitch on 14 ct Aida fabric.  Much softer, pliable and easier to work with than the DMC metallic floss.  Hope this helps.

A: No, you cannot break this thread by hand.
