12 1/4 x 17. I love this basket. It fits on the stair steps when I take items to the basement I love this basket. It is 12 /14 x 17 and it fits on the basement stairsteps when I trans port items to and from the freezer

How many pounds will the plastic handles hold?

I had 10 lbs of tomatoes in it and was fine.
