Sweetener dispenser, height: 8.6 cm, stainless steel/ABS, matt silver/black, 65172260

I ordered this item and when it arrived it I was not impressed with the quality, when I put sweetners in it push the button and nothing came out the the button stuck in , it said frequently bought together this product and canderel sweetners which I use , totally disappointed 😞

Why did you choose this product over others?: Was a bit wary of buying this reading the reviews but my brand of sweetners had changed their packaging from excellent to unusable so I needed a generic holder and this seems to be the only one in the world. My brand are tesco own brand... stockwell and fit the mechanism perfectly. That said I did measure them before purchasing and are the exact size recommended for the dispenser. I can see different brands have no hope of fitting the dispenser hole. I've not noticed anything sharp on it, yes the lid design would be much improved if it was a screw top and although the push on lid isn't a tight fit it's OK. You don't pick the dispenser up by the lid. I would recommend but should any part fail I will report back.

It's expensive for what it is and it doesn't work! I've tried every make of branded sweetener available in the UK and also all the supermarket own brands of sweetners (I've tried Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl & Booths). I've not tried Waitrose, but cant see they'll be any different to all those i've tried. From minute tablets to the larger rounded (small Stevia) tablets, all makes, ALL of sweetners jam in the mechanism every time. It's a complete waste of money!

There are many reviews saying that sweeteners get crushed or they’re too small. That’s not the fault of the dispenser. This is a German product and and I notice that none of the German reviews even mention the problem of pill size. This would suggest that pill size there is standardised. In the UK there are a multitude of pill sizes. Canderel pills are too big and get crushed. Hermesetas, Splenda and Sweetex are all too small and come out two at once. The correct size for the dispenser (as indicated by the manufacturer) is 5mm x 2mm. As another reviewer has pointed out Aldi’s own brand ‘The Pantry Sucralose sweetener tablets’ work well. However I find that because of their slightly bulbous shape they too get jammed and crushed occasionally. (If this happens you might need to scrape out the ejector hole with a small screwdriver). However! One pill that fits the dispenser perfectly is Tesco’s own brand (Tesco low calorie sweetener with sucralose) which has the added advantage of being considerably cheaper. They’re the same size as the Aldi ones but flatter and not bulbous. Also, i later discovered Morrisons own brand fit too. The other criticism made in other reviews is that the item would benefit from a screw top. I agree.

This item does not work ad it clogs up like plastic dispensers. Save your money

The dispensing hole did not let any sweeteners through. Also lid far too loose. However immediate, no quibble refund

My husband has very poor vision and often knocks over his sweetener container - which he usually has to open the top of as the mechanism always jams - thought this would be perfect -but after a week the mechanism started to jam and basically stopped being any use - standard sweetener size used - nothing weird or obscure - frustrating as thought this would be the answer so ordered a 2nd - now got 2 which don't work.

Von 10 mal draufdrücken, kommen im Schnitt 7-8 Süßstofftabletten raus. Nicht hundertprozentige Auswurfleistung, aber für den günstigen Preis absolut akzeptabel. ABER: Manchmal verhalten sich eine Tablette. Die kriegt man durch schütteln wieder raus CAVE: Beim Schütteln Daumen auf den Deckel, sonst geht der auf und die Süßstofftabletten fliegen durch das ganze Zimmer. Gibt kein Video davon, weil ich keine Lust habe, die Sauerei nochmal aufzuräumen, wenn ich die Maßnahmen zum Filmen wiederhole:-) Witzig ausgesehen hat es aber bestimmt:-)

Mina saketter gick inte genom så jag slängde behållaren. Små saketter hade funkat.

Paired this with the Sussli pellets, works like a charm. Not sure what the people are doing to have it crush every pellet, etc etc. Great product.

Reviews on this product have indicated that it is a very hit or miss product. It has been a miss for me, I intended to use it for Equal sweetener tablets but they don't fit through the dispensing slot. It is a very nice looking container and I am no worse off for having purchased this item, my current disposable plastic Equal tablet dispenser is due to be thrown out and replaced with another anyway. I bet this would be great for smaller tablets. I might even be able to file away some of the plastic to get it to dispense Equal tablets!
