KONG CoreStrength Bone, Multi-Layered Dental Toy, for Small/Medium Dogs

We are on our third one in 2 years for our Pitbull Terrier. She’s an extremely aggressive chewer and will shred even the most “durable” labeled toys. She gets bored with rope style toys and always alternates to this Kong rubber bone. She will gnaw on this thing for hours. After a few days of use, it does start to show wear and the rubber begins splitting, but we haven’t had to be concerned about chunks or anything like that coming off and choking her. Keeps her teeth nice and shiny while keeping her occupied for hours. When one wears out, we just order a new one. I hate spending big money on dog toys, but these are more affordable and worth the cost!!

I can't explain why, but all four of my dogs (age 1.5 to 15) want this toy first! Even though they range in size from 6 pounds to 22 pounds, it's the right size for them all. I bought one for the six pounder when she was a puppy because she was teething, never imagining my two larger, older dogs would want to chew it but they did, voraciously. It lasted about a year before they finally bit off the little nubs, that are clearly very resilient. I just bought my second one, hence this review.

Unlike the bone shaped version, my dog chewed pieces off of this within minutes and we had to throw it out after about 5-10mins of supervised chewing. Bone shaped version is excellent and way sturdier for some reason

My little guy loved this especially while he was teething. He’s a strong & active chewer so it didn’t last as long as I’d like but it held pretty well.

I just ordered the 3 rd one. The bad thing is that my dog destroyed it in 3 hours. Luckily she spits out all the small pieces of plastic. The good thing is, that she gets so much joy out of it, it makes her so happy and tired that I am a fan! Well worth 9$! She is 25lb and I didn’t think she was an aggressive chewer before this toy. If your dog tends to eat all the plastic pieces , don’t get it.

20 minutes is what it took her to open it and rip its bottom. She loves it, 100% but I was expecting it to be more durable.

My near adult dog likes to chew things (like furniture legs), and I had to do something about it. This has been great. I do supervise him while he's chewing it to make sure he doesn't break it, but it seems stronger than he is!

I have a doodle that literally destroys everything within 5 minutes. Even Kong brands. Ive had this several months and it's still holding up.

Not good for a dog who chews his toys to bits

I'm afraid this toy didn't last long at all- chewing time on and off for maybe a couple of hours in total and my medium sized Terrier mix managed to get a chunk of rubber off the end. Definitely not worth the price considering it's a Kong.

Chewed straight thru in an hour. Disappointing. Picture of item shows husky type dog which is what we have. Not fit for purpose sadly.

A minha vira-lata Loulou, que adotei de uma feira de resgate há pouco mais de quatro meses (calcula-se que ela esteja com menos de um ano agora) brinca com o seu o dia inteiro. Ou seja, aprovado e homologado pela mais alta autoridade!
