Color Atlas & Synopsis of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Third Edition

I purchased this book for my teenage son who is curious about sex. I want him to have lots of vivid pictures of the possible consequences that come along with becoming sexually active. The pictures and information in this book is exactly what I wanted to show him. Great way to get your point across.

I bought this book to use with my inmate substance abuse clients. I could not find an appropriate DVD to show sexually transmitted diseases but found this book. Several of the men stated they were going to remain celibate after having looked through the book!

Yes, I would rather be uncomfortable and feel awkward talking about this with my kids than have them hear it from their friends! I suggest every parent has the "sex talk" with their children while showing them this book page by page, like I did. Do not be discouraged by the eye rolling, the attitude, or even the gagging expression from your kids, because this book does create an impression for them to at least "THINK" about the consequences of sex. Believe it or not, kids do listen to what you say to them. This book is now available in my home where my kids can get to it whenever they want to learn more about STDs (complete with nasty gross pictures that I'm sure will make them think long and hard before they decide to engage in irresponsible sex!). Best textbook I ever bought!

I use this book as a SANE nurse. Wanted better pictures but great information.

This book was not what I thought it would be. Not enough pictures to show teenagers in health class

Has some good information on sexually transmitted diseases, I just wish it didn't read like an encyclopedia for doctors, but the pictures are okay-- graphic,but good. Wish I could get an 2014 version, as this was from 2011.Also, wish I could have got one that was easier to read.

Great resource for FNP boards. The pictures help getting an idea to know what to look for.
