My brother-in-law installed one of these on a bathroom cabinet because his wife (my sister) keep slamming the cabinet door multiple times in the morning while she was getting ready for work, waking him up. It worked great so I ordered a 10 pack to try them out on my kitchen cabinets. They worked so good I ordered an additional 10 pack to finish my kitchen cabinets and used the extras for my bathroom cabinets and one on my basement door that has a springed hinge. Special Notes: * They are chrome plated plastic which makes them very lightweight and it seems like they may be flimsy. However if you install them correctly they are sturdy and they will not flex or move when your cabinet door is closing. * The adjustment screw on the back does not adjust the tension. It just allows you to adjust the depth of the plunger. If you have a heavy door you may have to use two dampers. * You must have springed hinges. To check if you hinges have springs, hold the door open a few inches and let it go. If it closes on its own the hinges most likely have springs. Install could have not gone any easier. It took me about 30 seconds per door. I used two cordless drills to help speed things up. One had a drill bit to drill pilot holes (This is necessary or you will split the wood on your cabinets face frame) and one with a phillips screwdriver bit. Make sure you follow the directions. The pilot holes need to be drilled at a 65 degree angle. The screw angle is what gives it the strength to stay firmly seated under pressure. You do not need to measure or figure out the angle. Just use the damper itself as a guide. Pros: No more slamming cabinet doors. No need to buy expensive soft close hinges. Only need one per cabinet. Does not interfere with cabinet functionality. Looks like it belongs. Cons: No tension adjustment.

These soft close door hinges worked well. Easy to install following their dorectiona. My only complaint is that they are plastic. I wish they were metal so they would last longer.

I ordered a pack of these and installed all ten in probably less than 15 mins. Super easy! They work like a charm, exactly the way they should. So incredibly pleased I bought a second pack and have installed them as well. My kitchen and bathroom cabinets now have a more modern and luxurious feel. If you're considering buying these, do it. There is no reason not too! Out of the 20 dampers I received, 2 were faulty, but the company made right in a very timely and friendly matter. :)

I was really looking forward to seeing how these worked. They are easy to secure. Some work well while others don’t seem to work as well so I find myself having to physically push a few cabinets closed. It’s an about a 50/50 ratio.

5 stars. These soft close dampers are def worth it if your cabinet doors slam shut all the time. Install was pretty simple, and I like that you can adjust the closing speed depending on the door. They’re small and don’t really stand out once installed, but they make the cabinets feel way nicer. No more loud cabinet slams, which is honestly such a good lil upgrade for the house. Just make sure your hinges/cabinets are compatible before buying, but for me they worked great. Solid buy.

At first, these were amazing. Put them on many, many cabinet doors. Easy to install and worked as expected. Then, after a few month, one cabinet door lost its dampening. A fluid was leaking out. Then, more of them started to fail, also leaking some fluid. My take on it was that the internal hydraulic seal failed rendering the device useless. If it was one device, I would think just bad luck; but, with several failing it appears that this is not the quality product I thought it was. I would not buy these again.

Good buy. Cheap and effective. Every once a while you come across a product that you wish you would have found years ago. I stumbled across these and love them. I live in apartments and can hear the cabinet doors slamming. I didn't want to replace hardware as I am just renting, but these make it nice without a bunch of work. Using a magnetic bit made it alot easier for the weird angel to screw in. Told my family, neighbors about them and buying more for bathroom cabinets.

East to fit. Seem strong. Certainly stopped my cupboard doors slamming.

Returned as it is not as versatile.

Incredibly easy to install. Has screw holes on either side of the unit, so it can install on either door orientation. Just make sure it's installed snug in the corner, with the flat metal plate hanging over the edge of your cabinet door. That secures it in place when the door moves. I recommend installing them in the upper corner to be the least distracting. However, some bigger doors will require two (one installed at the top and one on the bottom hinge-side corner) in order to be effective. Even if you have to install one on the bottom, the metal-looking body blends well and it does not look bad. Some units were a bit difficult to adjust with the screw, but I got them all going in the end. The only con is that if you slam your cupboard with too much force (maybe you're very angry and wanted to passive aggressively show the world but you forgot you installed soft close adapters), the doors will bounce against the damper a bit. Just remember that they're there, and show your anger in a different way;) In summary, an effective and economic way to adapt your cupboards to soft-close if your existing hinges are not compatible with soft-close adapters, or you do not want to spend the extra bucks. I will be buying another set to finish off my kitchen.

These are quality! They really do the job to a high standard. Good value for money, well made, adjustable and easy to fix with just one screw.
