Where has this been all my life?!
This cart is easily one of the best purchases I have EVER made!! We live in an apartment and the hassle of making multiple trips up and down the elevator to get groceries upstairs is just not funny or fun. Bags ripping, my back breaking ... a sorry deal all around! Previously we had those wire mesh carts which got the job done but they were difficult to handle (not the best wheels rolling there) and the solid shape made it more difficult to fit certain items, plus they did not support much weight either so while helpful, definitely not ideal. When I got tired of exhausting myself with grocery transportation (where are your kids/ husband when you need them?!), I set out to find the very best possible cart on the market so of course I headed to Amazon :)). After falling into a semi-trance looking at page after page of the usual suspects, the Versacart caught my eye and I was instantly alert. My heart skipped a few beats and I forgot to breathe as I read the description, thinking "can this really be The One?!". It was just too good to pass up and while a bit pricey, I decided to order it and see. When my cart arrived I immediately unpacked it (so easy!) and surveyed it. Great material (so thick!), excellent maneuverability (wheels glide so smoothly!), and sooooo light (yet incredibly sturdy!)! I was definitely getting excited by then ;)). That evening I set out to get the motherload of groceries as I couldn't wait to put it to the final test. Jumped out of the car once in the garage and set out to transport my groceries upstairs. Thrilled with how easily the cart unfolds and how much stuff I could fit in it! 120 lbs is definitely doable. I loaded the cart to the very top, hung additional bags over the handles and voila -- what would have taken me 3 or 4 trips and much effort to get upstairs would get done in one pass. I started pushing the cart half expecting it to groan but no, a bit of a push and we were on our way. No awkward walking angles as the wheels roll 360 degrees and not a sense that my cart would fall apart. I made it upstairs effortlessly and not exhausted for once; I was thrilled! This was definitely THE BEST. I bought one for my mom too amidst much protest from her but now that she has it, we still laugh on the phone sharing stories about how much we love this cart and how we find ourselves cracking up alone or smiling like fools when we use it, walking around like models on a runway and hoping someone sees us and asks about the carts so we can gloat about them, lol. This item has seriously increased our quality of life significantly and we believe everyone in the world should have one. Yes, EVERYONE. I dreaded grocery shopping days before Versacart but now it's a breeze. I just cannot believe I didn't find this item before -- would've saved us soooooo much trouble, energy, exasperation, backaches, etc.! The only CON I can think of, if anything, is that when the cart is heavily loaded the handles feel a bit wobbly, but even then it performs perfectly and nothing has broken off or fallen apart even after the rigorous use I've put it through so just keep it in mind when you buy this product. The handles are sturdy and will not come off or break when heavily loaded even if it feels like they might to you. I've put this cart to heavy use over the past 3 months and it still works perfectly and looks brand new. I don't think I'll ever be without one of these, fantastic investment!

The Best Cart Ever!!!
This is my second Versacart purchase. I still own my other one, but needed an extra for another location. These carts are just tough as nails and are incredibly easy to handle. Yes, you definitely can steer it with one hand, the canvas bag is tough and durable, also cleans up easily. Folds up slim and for storage in a closet, the back of the car, or under a bed. The curved handles make for a good grip and even an extra place to hand a shopping bag or your purse. The bag is deep and with its sturdy frame, you can carry items you thought might not fit by angling them in, or laying across the top of the cart, if they are overly heavy. The wheels roll like a dream and easily roll over thresholds, unless you have the bag too full. Oh, and a cover that actually comes down to keep rain, snow, etc. out of the inside of the bag and just flops back out of the way when not needed. I can ALSO say that VersaCart customer service is top notch! I emailed with an issue and I received a response in one day with a replacement bag issued, no hassle, just REAL customer service๐. I would give VersaCart more stars if I could and I highly. recommend this product for durability, ease of use, and fantastic customer service!!!

Excellent, durable, can be used on all terrains
This is one of my favorite purchases I have ever made and I cannot recommend this cart enough! I have been using it for a year walking to and from the grocery store and it can carry so much weight. I have loaded it up with tons of heavy cans and it has never had a problem. It works great on the sidewalk and easily goes over bumps and cracks in the road. I have also used it in the snow. I had to write a review because this weekend I used it on a camping trip where I had to roll all my equipment a very far distance over a variety of terrain including long grass, rocks, and sandy paths. I loaded it up with all my camping gear bungeed together because it was overflowing over the top of the cart, and it still rolled easily. Sometimes I had to turn it around and pull it backwards a few feet over particularly hard terrains or holes in the ground but it worked surprisingly well and I was very impressed! So far the only thing I haven't been able to use it for was rolling it through sand at the beach because the wheels got stuck, so I had to carry it using the handles. It has been amazing for all other uses so far, and I am now an evangelist for this cart. It folds up so easily for storage in the closet or in my car.

Sturdy with excellent capacity
Very sturdy, folds small, holds a bunch. Opens and folds up easily, rolls and moves readily. Only drawback would be for a taller user, the handles are good for shott try er and average height people.

Really the best compact option
A few years back I had one of those fully metal carts and I found them both heavy and took up a lot of space even when collapsed. Overall stopped using those a long time ago. Decided to check this out as the Costco trips have been difficult and tiring carrying so much or having to make multiple trips. Overall I will say i'm impressed. I originally wondered if this would actually be able to handle bulk items, but the liner which is kind of like a plastic material has been quite durable and i've been able to put multiple different kinds of items and it's held up fine. It's lightweight and when collapses it is a lot more compact than those metal carts that really just fold and still have a large foothold. Ended up buying another for my mother, so she doesn't have to carry a bunch of groceries from her car. Which the real deciding factor is it's lightweight and collapses into almost like one of those camping chair forms which is great for her. As other reviews mention it's really not good at maneuvering with a heavy load and one hand, so always make sure you load enough you're able to use both hands. Along with my only critique would be I have an issue of there not being a handle or bar to pull from the front. Which I often have to do when I go through a door that has an auto closing mechanism, as I then have to hold the door open and then pull the cart through while there's not much to grab onto. There's handles on the side of the liner, but nothing on the front. Which would be a simple solution for the next model version.

Great Cart - Not in Love with the Handles!
I received this cart last week. I bought it to replace a more traditional style cart (big wheels in back, small in front, all wheels fixed, tilt to turn, folds in half.) I wanted a cart that collapsed in both direction to take up less room in the house. This cart is room, the bag seems very sturdy, and it collapses to create a much smaller footprint for storage than my old one. I walked to the grocery store (5 blocks) with the cart in a light rain on Saturday morning. I kept the cart folded and pulled it behind me on the way to the store. This worked very well, a couple of times one of the front wheels turned slightly to the side, preventing the back wheel from turning agains the ground, but for the most part it rolled well in a folded position. Once at the store I popped it open and wheeled it around the store as I filled it with groceries. This was a treat compared to the old one that I had to drag behind me. The handles are at a pretty decent height, but I wish that they faced back instead of forward (more on this later.) I found that walking along side the cart pushing it with one handle worked very well, unless the aisle was crowded (I shop early, so crowded means that the stock people had a bunch of dollies and carts blocking the aisle) in which case I moved behind the cart, and pushed with both hands. I was able to fit two weeks of groceries for one person in the cart, so it holds about the same amount as my old cart - I was pleased with this. After checking out, answering lots of questions about it for the clerks, and putting the cover on (fits great!) I left the store. This is where the handle situation became a bit more of a concern. For the most part it handled very well, again walking beside it and pushing with one hand. Occasionally, however, it became necessary to walk behind and push with both hands, up a slight grade, or if the sidewalk was slightly canted to one side (the cart wanted to roll in that direction) or over rough sidewalks (my neighborhood is very old, and some of the sidewalks are stone rather than concrete, and not in very good condition.) The issue is that I am a pretty fast walker, walking behind it I found myself kicking the metal bar that releases to fold up the cart. I didn't have any issue with the cart folding, but in order to walk quickly I had to stay farther behind the cart, which left me hunched over. I had to slow my pace quite a bit to avoid this. I feel like if the handles faced back that would given me enough distance from the back to avoid this problem. I had a brief thought of drilling out the rivets, turning the handles around, and using bolts to reattach them, but since the handles are at an acute angle doing this would cause them to point toward the ground, which wouldn't solve the problem, so I am trying to find something similar but with an obtuse angle to replace them, or some other solution that will allow me to have handles that face back toward me. This may not be a problem that impacts everyone, but for me it caused me to knock off one star - everything else about the cart is terrific, and I don't regret the purchase at all.

Greatest cart ever
It's a 6 stars item. I've been using Versacarts for the past 11 years. They used to be available through many many vendors, online and in person; then Covid hit and it became impossible to find any by either method. I use Versacart merrily as an assistive device -instead of a walker-. People stop me asking questions as to the practicality of the cart: loading with groceries, packages, easy to maneuver, oh! and do you put your dog in it? I always have 4 of them. One in the house, one in the car, one to walk from my front door to the landing and one to then walk to the car. The last one I ordered came in black. I prefer navy blue. There used to be a red one as well. So imagine my surprise and happiness when I saw it on Amazon!!! Ordered! When it came, another surprise! It was fully assembled and the only thing needed was for me to click in place the 2 other wheels. Easy as pie. Surprise #3:it is taller then the other ones by a few inches. I realize that my writing this glowing review I will encourage more sales which, in turn, might be detrimental to its future availability? Hope not as I plan to order again and again. Enjoy! P.S.: when I travel by plane, I bring it all the way to the front door of the aircraft; as one would with a baby stroller, and it is then placed in the belly of the aircraft reappearing upon arrival along with the strollers. I place signs on each handle saying Fragile Handle with Care. Always arrives intact. Before boarding youโll need to have a tag attached to it as if it were luggage (for tracking)

Easily the best
Very pleased, seems very well made. I got it for my mom who is disabled. If there is any failure whatsoever, or any issues, I will definitely follow up this initial review. Carts are a lot of money and need to be as reliable and versatile as possible which is why I am posting, because Iโm sure this is it. Im glad I did my research.

Great, versatile cart!
Love this cart! So handy since it folds down. Lightweight but very sturdy and has a great capacity. Have used it to cart laundry to the laundromat, groceries and to retrieve and deliver parcels to the post office.

Fantastic, so easy to push, love the cover
I go for walks to the grocery store every week and I pack a lot into this cart. The cover is amazing as it protects the groceries from rain, dust and leaves etc. I prefer being able to push the cart like a stroller, rather than have to pull which hurts my arm and shoulder. I often put a piece of cardboard in the bottom to help support the frame. Not necessary but I find it helps. My only con is that the handles are not adjustable. We are fairly tall and, like all umbrella strollers, they are not built for tall people. If they could somehow create adjustable handles or make extensions that you can purchase it would be a 10/10 for me. I would strongly recommend this cart.

so handy, especially for condo residents!
I just bought one for my parents. I've had one for at least 8 years (still in great shape except for normal wear and tear). It has been so handy. It's light and foldable and can hold several bags of groceries and easy to use. It fits into any standard trunk. It's been great during the pandemic when most of our purchases were delivered to our condo. This is a must have for any household.
