Columbia Women's Thermarator II Jacket

First of all, this is a very unique fleece/shell light jacket. Secondly, the gravel/yellow-green look is really nice. The fit is slim so if you want to layer with more than possibly a light t-shirt, you might want to size up. I often wear small but did get a medium and it looks nice. Last of all, it is actually quite warm and wind resistant. If you're outside in the 40's and just standing around, you might get cool. But, if you're in temps like that or a little warmer and walking around, you will warm up. The Omni-heat is quite effective and you really heat up once you're body temp gets going. Very nice light jacket, I highly recommend and the thumb holes provide a little extra warm to the hands, in addition to good pockets.

Got this as a Xmas gift for my gal... she wore it and it looked good, BUT fitted, on her, however none of it mattered because she wasn't comfortable in it. The "cut" feels weird according to her, and despite the fact that Columbia is a trusted brand (someone over there should really take notice and get this fixed), we had no choice but to return it. More specifically, the shoulder-to-sleeve joint is too up high, sitting on a very awkward angle that makes wearing this jacket feel VERY uncomfortable to wear in the underarm arm. You can't feel comfy in this one, fellas. Returned it to Amazon (they are awesome as always), and the only reason it gets 2 stars is because you can tell its made of great quality materials. Too bad that the "cut" makes it unbearable to wear.

I got this jacket as a gift after having to return the Columbia Pearl Plush II Fleece because of the size being too small (the recipient was definitely an L, but because of how form fitting the jacket was, it created problems in the chest area and necessitated a step up into an XL). This time the jacket fit well but was consistent with the Columbia brand sizing... so I would advise going larger if you have any questions or your a between-sizes person. Other than that, the color was great and there were a lot of comments on how "sparkly" the lining was.

Well, I was shocked to receive this. I love Columbia products, and I kept looking at this thinking, how could this be Columbia? I ordered the black, and it is not black, it's more like grey. The material is super rough. I expected a soft microfleece. It feels like a rough and unprocessed tight weave wool like the kind you used to see on men's high school varsity jackets. Also, the picture displays a nice tapered, feminine fit. I found this to be very boxy and I kept wondering if I had accidentally received a male jacket instead (confirmed on the tags, it was the correct style.). I found the fit to be large, unlike other reviewers (I'm 5'7" and I was swimming in this). I have really long arms and legs, and the sleeves were inches too long (not to mention the hand covers, that made them even longer). Lastly, the jacket didn't have the stretch I had expected from the description. I'm surprised this got such good reviews. Usually, I'm pretty in sync with the tastes of Amazon reviewers and tend to agree with the consensus, but not this time. My search for a new jacket continues...

I wear a 5/6, so normally buy a small. After reading reviews, they said to buy a size up, so I purchased a medium. Still it is very snug while wear a long sleeve shirt. It looks great - just not on. So unfortunately, I will be returning it.

I just received this in the mail yesterday, early I might add and I really like it. I ordered the black texture and it's more of a gray, but I love gray so that doesn't really bother me. Seems extremely well made, and it is very warm. I am a tried and true medium- I'm 5'7", 130 pounds, average I'd say- and the medium fits like a glove. Because of the previous post i went back and forth between sizes but went with my gut instinct and ordered a medium and I'm glad I did. The tags on it say $100 so I feel like i got a great deal, which always makes me a happy girl! Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable athletic fleece to keep warm but not sweat in or feel like you are wearing a thin airy sweatshirt. Oh and i especially love the thumb straps, nice touch.

Material on sleeves create lint balls. This was noticed a month after purchase. Liked the jacket, was disappointed the material wasn't made of better quality for price paid.

I like this jacket but If you normally wear a small get a medium...runs smaller for a columbia. Its very warm,,,the reflective omnia inside the jacket is not attractive but very warm.
