That's the perspective I'm coming from. I've never shaved with a safety razor or a straight razor before, so I can't compare it to others on the market. I've given it 5 stars because I have no complaints at all. The blades are cheaper, sharper and last longer than a Mach 3. The blades are very secure. I love the handle . . . good grip. Yes, I've cut myself more with this than the Mach 3, but I'm new at it and have improved a lot very quickly. I haven't had an ingrown hair yet! I bet this is a lot easier to shave with than a regular straight razor because their is no handle to deal with. The downside is that the blade is a little dangerous to have around the bathroom unless you buy the plastic safety cover that fits around it--sold separately. Highly recommended. One thing to think about if you are like me, coming from a cartridge razor, is that this takes a lot more time. It takes me 20 minutes to shave! I mean. . . I'm not rushing it or anything. . . Might be able to rush a 10 minute shave if I was in a real hurry.
