Strong hold for attaching a brass doorknocker to a metal door
I bought this 3M Plastic and Emblem Adhesive to mount a brass doorknocker onto a metal door, and it worked really well for that purpose. The adhesive was easy to apply from the tube, and it gave me a strong, secure bond without needing to drill into the door. I was especially happy with how clean the application was. It held the brass piece firmly in place, and the finished result looks neat and professional. For a small project where I needed a dependable adhesive between metal surfaces, this did exactly what I needed. Overall, Iโm very pleased with it and would recommend it for similar mounting or repair projects where you need a strong adhesive and want to avoid screws or extra hardware.

First time use was very effective
Used this to fix a plastic cap to aluminum pipe. Very ease to apply and made a very strong bond.

3M plastic and emblem adhesive works great.
This adhesive is really effective in holding emblems too a surface. My applications were to glue back on the Volvo steering wheel emblem that came off, was relied, but came off once again. Iโve postponed this job until spring because the glue does have limitations. The box states to use in a shaded area with temperature between 65-90F, which itโs not right now where I live in WA state. However, I had my Kohler kitchen sink emblem come off a few years ago and decided to try using this product on the heavy cast iron sink and it has worked beautifully. Just follow the easy directions and youโll be very pleased with the results. It goes on easily and is clear color. It certainly feels durable.

Great Holding Power- make sure you know what to expect and prep things correctly
So far (about two months) in mixed weather from about 65 degrees to 100 plus, rain, shine, and everything in between, this adhesive is holding the plastic door handle "cleat" onto my wife's Kia. It was designed from the factory to friction fit onto a fluted stud "poking" out of the door handle assembly, but the thin brittle plastic broke around the cylinder designed to receive the stud. I cleaned all surfaces with denatured alcohol before starting the exercise. I first glued the cleat gasket to the painted metal door (more of friction/squeak-preventer than a gasket; feeling like slippery, but hard polyethylene). I then glued the electroplated chrome plastic (hard, brittle polystyrene, maybe) cleat to the "gasket" and taped the assembly in place overnight while the adhesive set up. The next day, all of the elastic-feel in the surface bonding was gone and the plastic was tight to the metal- very tight- no twist or movement whatsoever. It felt incredibly solid, and as I wrote, after two months- still incredibly solid. NOTE: I did not realize (deficient research) that the 8061 acted like a contact adhesive so you have to pre-coat both contact surfaces, stick them together, pull them apart, wait, then REALLY stick them together. It's clear in the manufacturer's instructions (the ones I did not read before purchase). This wasn't a problem for me, just make sure you follow the appropriate steps. I also hadn't realized, that the adhesive is thin, almost watery. It WILL run and is difficult to control if you intent to "pool" it. Except where applied very thinly, it seems to retain some of the gumminess, for a long time- maybe forever. Regardless- it has excellent holding power and considering the amount of surface areas in contact for my application, I am thus far impressed. 3M- you may be pricey, but my experience is that rarely is the extra money ill-spent.

3M 08061 Plastic and Emblem Adhesive worked great!
Used this to reinstall the stainless trim on a Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser. Worked great, also used a very small paint brush to apply the adhesive to the backside of the trim and on the mating surfaces.

Adhesive properties are weak
3M products are usually my go-to. This one's adhesive properties were not very impressive. Almost seems as if it froze at one time or sat for too long

Strong but runny
This works well however it is really runny. AND DO apply it then wait about 8-10 minutes then apply another thin layer before sticking the items together. It will dry rock hard.
