I can see with some of reviews referring to this more as a face wash than scrub, with the photo attached I put the face scrub onto the the blue rough sided surface and scrub thoroughly around the face and it leaves my face feeling really smooth. When I go to wash the face brush/washer you can see there are lots of really small black pieces of what I can only describe as sand size or possibly smaller, so there is scrub in there. It is at a microbial level as apposed to other conventional scrubs and I find this combined with the moisturisers (doesn’t need to be the oil control moisturiser) work really well together. I’d give this 5 stars and at a very reasonable price, hope this helps others.

Good face wash but not gritty enough for my taste. As a hybrid between face wash and scrub, it's very good. Smells nice. Note that it is thick black fluid-- if not washed off thoroughly, your lovely white towels will look noticeably less white.
