This metric rule is extremely well made: accurate, readable, thick enough to be sturdy and rigid but not heavy. The best feature is having the numbers run in opposite directions on the left and right sides and to have them on both faces of the ruler. Taking measurements is much more efficient!

The Mitutoyo steel rule is an absolute marvel of precision and durability! From the moment I began using it, I was struck by the impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. Finally bit the bullet and bought a full metric 150mm scale. It's a true 150mm long, not a 6" scale with metric on one edge. Now I can flip it around to any end and read it normally. It's nice that it also has 0.5mm increments. Love the satin finish. Note: This is a RIGID scale with no flex what-so-ever. Most of my machining is now in metric, and this has saved me so much time and aggravation. Should have bought this sooner.

The product is great if only Amazon delivery person could have delivered it to my address and not my neighbor. On top of that my other two deliveries were delayed to tomorrow. The 5 stars are for product but I give Amazon 1/2 star for their deliveries. Their service has been steadily slipping over the past 2 years even when I order enough for overnight delivery it's almost always a day later. Amazon, please try harder or at least be more accurate on delivery times.

I bought this because it reads true from both ends and both faces, which is a real timesaver not having to reorient the ruler every time I pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised by its heft and rigidity. The finish makes it easy for my tired eyes to read. And when I do need a little more precision, the 0.5 mm markings are convenient. I’m glad I bought it.

I meant to purchase a combination metric/standard rule but I’m a dummy and didn’t pay attention

Ruler is very rigid and straight. Markings are very clear. Got this for measuring parts in papercraft models; would definitely get another if needed.

95% of my use for a ruler is for short lengths and millimeter measurements. For me, it is perfect: length, width, thickness, with the same scale on each side. Zero flexibility, and it can be used to check if something is flush.

I own this engineers scale in both metric and imperial. Hold one of these and one hand and a cheap steel ruler in the other and you will see why they are more expensive. Rigid, nice weight, smooth ground edges and clear accurate markings that are engraved not printed. Treat it with respect and it will last forever. Worth every penny and a pleasure to use.
