Carnival paper is supposed to cope well with paint, ink and watercolour. This product has a slight sheen on one side, but easily tears after applying any medium, or adhesive. It just about holds up to a thin layer of acrylic on a gel plate, but has to be removed from the plate with real care. I’ve tried to use coloured pencils and felt tip pens, but the paper simply isn’t strong enough. I can use it for other purposes, but not what I bought it for. Not recommended.

I use this tissue for gel plate printing, making papers for my artwork. You'd better eat your Wheaties if you need to carry the box upstairs, it's real heavy. It's wonderful tissue for gel printing, making papers for collage. Sheets are large, I cut them into quarters. This tissue doesn't tear, you have to cut with scissors, but that's the point, it's wet-strength. I love it. It's a bit awkward to store after taking some out, because it's heavy, but I just put back in original box, and taped it shut again. With this size of pack, I can't imagine needing to purchase it again, I have plenty. Bottom line, it's amazing stuff and I haven't found any equal.

This tissue paper is fabulous for crafting and collaging. It does not fall apart when wet paint is applied. It can be sprayed with water, shaped, dried, and ripped to created beautiful designs.

Super Qualität

This is the most sturdy tissue paper I’ve found and works great for mixed media. I can paint, write, and gel print on it without it tearing and it is completely transparent after adhering to the substrate. Highly recommend.
