Montessori Lower Case Sandpaper Letters w/Box

My child is even more interested in learning since I bought the sand letter paper , great quality , the size allows my child to trace easier . Very happy with this product !

I love these sandpaper letters. It comes in a sturdy wood box. My granddaughter (3yr) loves these. We trace the letters then draw in the sand. Great hands on tool.

High-quality traditional Montessori tools. Using them with my two homeschooled preschoolers right now to teach letter recognition & sounds, as well as transitioning to building short vowel sound words. Other extensions we've done have been using them with a sand tray to practice writing & using them to short pictures & objects by beginning sounds. The sand does come off a bit & the surface has appeared like it was scratched from the sandpaper of one letter rubbing another, but so far everything has wiped clean with no damage. They're a steep investment for a homeschool room, but one worth having. This was one of the first montessori materials I acquired for our classroom.

I have worked with Montessori school products for many years. While these are decent and good for home use, I would never recommend for an actual Montessori school. The product is not the proper colors that are dictated for a school and the sandpaper for the letters are cheap in quality. If this product was in a school it would get destroyed in less than 4 months with how often sandpaper letters are used. If you have a home where you are trying to teach your children how to write and learn letters, this would be a good set for you.

I wanted to make an at-home version of the letter boxes they use at school and these where perfect! Also they were much less expensive than some of the others I had seen on the montessori sites (especially with the free shipping). I feel like this was a great investment for our kiddo, who loves doing this work at home.

I bought these for my daughter's kindergarten classroom. Her teacher loves them and uses them with the kids. My only wish is that they came with some kind of paperboard dividers to protect them in between uses. We kept the tissue paper that they had when they shipped but that won't last in a classroom setting. The sandpaper was rough enough.

Sandpaper letters are great for teaching letter sounds and formation. I like to have one set that students can access for independent activities, and one for the teacher to use in 1:1 lessons.
