Conair 1875-Watt Ionic Ceramic Hair Dryer with Diffuser and Concentrator, Black

After having used this for a couple years now and also having had to borrow or use other hair dryers - I can say this is an elite hair dryer. It dries hair fast but more than that the buttons are designed so well to sit flat against the handle so you’re not accidentally changing the temp or intensity when you hold it. And it’s LIGHT!!! I can’t tell you how shocked I’ve been at how heavy other people’s hair dryers are. Anyways I love it and I will never part with it. I have started to consider traveling with it even though it would take up too much precious carry-on space.

I have owned this dryer for two and a half years and it still work perfectly. All dryers seem to be the same with a fan, a heating element a stay cool body and some controls. This one has a powerful heating element (1875 watts), and a good fan (for its size). The purpose of a hair dryer is not to heat up the hair to boil away the water, but to speed up the evaporation process of drying by exposing the hair to a stream of hot air. The faster the stream and the warmer the air, the more evaporation occurs. Where this dryer differs is in the body that has a longer and narrower nozzle that is about one inch wide. This forces a much stronger blast of air (at least on high speed) that is not a wide as those dryers with a wide nozzle. If your hair is fine, colored, permed or naturally curly, you would want a different dryer with a wider nozzle to diffuse the heat so that the hair dries more slowly at a cooler temperature. That may make the hair less likely to frizz and it may give the hair more volume. This dryer makes the nozzle narrow and thus helps to concentrate the heat into one spot in order to make the hair it blows on dry rapidly. You can adjust the fan speed and the temperature, but not the concentration of the air flow. So, if you have regular hair or (like me) are a guy that just wants to dry their hair rapidly, this is the dryer for you. Put it on high speed and high heat and it is extremely fast.

Bought this to replace the old dryer that caught fire on my wife hands, another Conair that lasted forever until it died spectacularly, fireworks included. It was overheating before so shame on my wife for keep using it; thankfully nobody was hurt. The reviews from my wife are in: This is better, lighter, dries faster and is more ergonomic than the model she had, and the rubberish finish makes it very comfortable to handle, but it shares two fundamental flaws with its predecessor: First is the #$%#@ attachments that keep flying off the air exhaust (my wife language...sorry!) when in use, it seems the heat causes the plastic to expand, losing its tight grip with the body of the drier and becoming loose. This is a very simple thing to fix, just make it a slide and rotate slightly mechanism with a couple of plastic tabs, not rocket science and not expensive to redesign/implement. This is annoying, and I'm surprised to find Conair hasn't fixed this for many, many years. My mother in law uses blue masking tape to keep it in place on her Conair, not an elegant but good solution (it looks terrible by the way) The second problem is cable management. The instructions (yes, I read them but believe me I'm a normal guy) is full of warnings and indications on how to use, do not misuse, handling, treating and taking care of the cable, yet Conair offers NO solution for handling the cable for storage. It cannot be rounded around the handle, it cannot be coiled, it cannot be bent at the point it connects to the handle, etc, etc there seems to be no other way to store this drier safely but with the cable in straight position, meaning you need to hang it from the ceiling or buy a very large drawer... really? It seems Conair is trying to protect itself from lawsuits by forbidding any reasonable way to handle what appears to be the weakest and more prone to damage section of the drier, with the worst consequences if it fails. This is OK, but please, give the users a solution, do not only present us the problems

The matte finish was the first thing we noticed when we opened the hair dryer. It is great - looks good and has a great - soft texture. The temperature settings are low, med and high and it has a cool button for when you need a blast of cold air. The fan can be set to low and high. The fan moves lots of air. Even an 80's era, big hair band could save time with this product. That kind of hair needs to be washed, rinsed, washed again and then heavily conditioned. The conditioner softens the hair and forces it to accept massive amounts of water. This increased water volume must be removed prior to styling or the hair will just sit there flat - like a poorly tuned guitar. Pull the Conair 225NP from the holster, point it at the hair and get started. The powerful DC fan moves lots of air to force its way into that mop head of hair and push the water out. The three heat settings provide complete control over the speed of the drying process. The entire band can share one 225NP and still be on the stage in time to rock the house! Medium heat and high speed fan gets hair dry fast with no friz.

This product was something I bought years ago. No store near me carries this one currently. It's an older model. But, very efficient. It works well! The dryer is a bit louder, but isn't disruptive like some older models (i.e.) the neighbors should be fine hahaha. This is the type of situation where the older model of a product works better than the newer ones released after it. That is sometimes the case with certain manufacturers or companies. When this model was back in stock and I was notified, I bought it immediately. This hair dryer lasted from the original release date until 2022. And, that's only cuz I dropped it. It would have still been fine I hadn't. The box most likely will have some scratches or marks (only from warehouse storage). But, it is nothing that effected my hair dryer. It was in its original box is the reason why. If you have ever worked customer service, then you know exactly what I mean. This is NOT a problem as long as nothing is cracked or defective shortly after you use it ;P Otherwise, you should good to go! It does get warm, but it cools off quickly. Again, to make sure it's clearly stated: Any box will get worn over time (due to warehouse storage). So, all in all, this hair dryer works just fine for me.

I purchased this item for $21.60 on 7/13/16 from Amazon and have been very happy with it. In fact, I have been using it almost every day since! My old, beloved hairdryer died so I read the reviews of MANY different hairdryers and decided on this one. I’m more than satisfied. The price is wonderful for the quality I received. I really like the 3 different heat settings, the cool shot, and the 3 different blower settings. I also really love the ability to open the cover to get to the mesh filter to clean it – I often use a small toothbrush to do so and it’s very simple. From all the reviews I’ve seen, I hope to use this for many years to come. These new tourmaline ceramic dryers are not always what they advertise to be, but this dryer is everything it says it is and more. The key is the high-powered motor; it gets my entire head dry in less than 8 minutes. A quick run through with a straightener after I'm done is all I need to get my hair completely ready in the mornings. Plus it's lightweight and quiet. This product saves me at least 15 minutes in the morning that I used to waste getting frustrated with my hair. Now, my hair looks shiny and healthy. A big selling point for me is whether or not the hair dryer will damage my hair. I try my absolute hardest to only wash my hair 2-3 times per week and keep it as healthy and natural as possible. With this purchase, I haven’t noticed ANY signs of damage to my hair. I usually shower in the mornings before work (and wake up at the latest possible minute), so using a hair dryer is a must for me a few days out of my week. Another key selling point for me is just how QUIET this dryer is. This is the first hair dryer I’ve owned that won’t wake up everyone who’s sleeping on the same floor as me. Not only am I much, much happier with this feature, but everyone living with me is extremely happy as well. The price is lower than anywhere else I’ve looked for comparable hair dryers and it arrived quickly with no cost for shipping, as I’m a Prime member! Amazon has been wonderful to deal with yet again and has never let me down with their services.

I always bought cheap hair dryer from Walmart since I was always thinking that it was not worth the money to spend on expensive hair dryer. Yes, I'm totally WRONG. This hair dryer is not expensive like other professional one but it really works the same. It's quiet, lightweight, many settings, comes with 2 attachments which helps you to style your hair easier. I have silky, very soft hair, absolutely no frizzy after I use it. This is the first time in my life that I love blow drying. The warm heat is just right, and the cool heat is awesome. I rarely use the hot setting. It's also very strong. I really recommend it for everyone. This is the best hair dryer that you should buy with the reasonable price. I will definitely buy it again if mine is broken. I have only used it for 1 month so I don't know if it will last long though!

This dryer is very lightweight, quiet and it dries hair quickly. The three heat settings are great. So why not 5 stars? I have a couple gripes. First, the matte effect of the dryer is produced by a plastic coating over the shiny black plastic of the dryer. After a couple months (if that), this started to flake off, and now it's a patchwork of matte/shiny. I guess it's just an aesthetic thing, but the words next to the controls (high/med/low) are gone entirely. Second, the concentrator nozzle is not very secure. It pops off with a light bump. So while I'm drying and straightening my hair, the nozzle pops off at least one or two times. I use the concentrator every time I blow dry, so this gets annoying. The diffuser, too, doesn't stay on well. I think it's because the attachments are made so that they click in place inside the end of the dryer rather than going over the end of the dryer. Anyway, if you never use an attachment and don't care about flaking plastic, then this is otherwise a decent hair dryer. I can't speak to the longevity because I have owned it for less than a year, but it seems to work well and doesn't overheat.

Estaba buscando una secadora con difusor que fuera económica ya que no la uso tanto. Me gustó, sirve para lo que se necesita.
