This thing was a.life saver after having achilles tendon surgery and beung non-weight bearing on one foot for 6 weeks. Easy to install, sturdy, love the built in handles.

One of many things you never think about until you need it. Mobility is limited and something you very much took for granted is now rather complicated. And you discover - afterward, there are toilets sold as 'chair height' because all the others give new meaning to 'squatty potty.' Insurance *might* cover one but they're not that expensive and giving you or a loved one a little peace of mind and dignity goes a long way by getting one.

While appealing because of the minimal assembly and ease of installation, this is a poor product and should be avoided. While true that the seat fits within the bowl, in order to be secure, the lower part of the insert has a protruding edge that is meant to fit underneath the lip of the toilet bowl. Many new toilets have a ridge that is much wider than the insert edge and the inserted seat simply bumps against the toilet itself within snugly fitting in. No matter how tightly I screwed the compression pad, the elevated seat would not secure properly. We did not appreciate this at first and my wife (recovering from hip replacement surgery, almost fell. Among the worst products ever purchased through Amazon.

Great to have

The 'Carex E-Z Lock Raised Toilet Seat with Handles - 4.5 Inch Toilet Seat Riser with Arms' works good. However, 4.5 inches is a little higher than I need. It was easy for my husband to insert the handles into, place on, and attach to the toilet seat. The riser seat is a hard so if you have to sit for a while, you may have to 'peel' your bottom from it which is painful. You can remedy this by placing a tissue seat cover on it. Also, I have to keep tightening it onto the toilet seat as it comes a little loose. Overall, I think it is a sufficient product.

The dip recess in the front should be a little deeper and the handles on the side are helpful but you must put even weight on them or they tip over. However giving five stars as product is comfortable, good quality and easy to install. Comes off easily for cleaning.

A well designed proact, however I am only giving it three stars, as it was to large for my toiled, which has a very short bowl I enabled it to fit by cutting away some material at the back edge. For the life of me, I don't underrated why the manufacturer would not print the minimum and maximum bowl dimensions for a proper fit, as there are multiple complaints of the product not fitting properly

Not good quality

Piece of crap. No instructions in box, is NOT tool free as you do need a screwdriver to remove the existing seat. Said for ppl under 300 pounds but the width does not accommodate large butts. Wobbles and not steady to support standing. Waste of money. Returning.
