Review: Way better Than Expected: 6,000 grit Ceramic Stone - One of my hobbies is sharpening knives so I have many sharpening stones. I have diamond stones from 220 to 1200 grit. After that I like to use ceramic stones. I have another brand that I typically buy because I trust the grits are consistent. I have ceramic stones from orange 1,000 to pink 5,000 that’s why I decided to try the 6,000 grit Kintif stone. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised. I’ve only sharpened a couple knives so far but it has good feedback as you’re sharpening. It gets harder and harder to feel for the burr as you get higher in grit. While using this stone you can feel that you’re keeping the same angle and you’re forming an apex. These types of ceramic splash and go stones are way better than the cheap aluminum oxide stones. These ceramic stones aren’t too soft where a ton of the stone is removed when sharpening. The hardness of the ceramic stones are important. You don’t want a soft stone because you lose feedback and the stone will lose all durability. That’s why some stones will get uneven after minimal usage. Sharpening by hand is a skill, it gets easier with practice. If you have me Tiger Woods clubs I wouldn't be on the PGA tour. However having the right tools puts you in a position to succeed. I would like to try more of these stones and see if the grits are consistent but after using this stone I can say they appear to be a nice quality product. The price point of this stone is right around the lower end for this grit. This makes this stone a great value. For super fine grit stones that aren’t contaminated you could pay over $100. For most beginner sharpeners you should become an expert with diamond stones up to 1500 grit before starting to use ceramic stones. Once you have the skills to try the higher grit ceramics a stone like this would be a good choice. To test out the stone I took photos of a knife going from 1,000grit to 6,000 grit. If I used typical grit progression I should have gone from 1,000 to 3,000 to 6,000. Even though I skipped the 3,000grit the stone still worked evenly and worked better than expected.
Review: High-Quality Splash & Go Whetstone: Fast, Smooth, and a Real Upgrade for Knife Sharpening - This is a great whetstone. I’ve been using it regularly, and it has quickly become my favorite sharpening tool. It’s big enough to comfortably handle any size knife I own, from small folders to larger kitchen blades. The stone is very smooth and uniform — it sharpens quickly without gouging or leaving uneven edges. It wears very well with minimal dishing, so it should last a long time with proper care. I love that it’s a “splash and go” stone — just add a little water and you’re ready to go in seconds. No long soaking required, which saves a lot of time. It's simple to use and made of superior material. It gets knives super sharp in a short amount of time. The cutting speed is excellent while still giving a clean, polished edge. Cleanup is easy too, with very little clogging compared to other stones I’ve used. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-performing whetstone that delivers fast results and holds up well, this one is an outstanding choice. It’s a noticeable upgrade from cheaper or lower-quality options.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Splash and go, no need to soak. These stones are awesome.
*by F***N on June 17, 2026*

This stone is impressive. Its the first "new" splash and use stone in my collection and I will never go back to traditional stones that require 30m to soak in water prior to use. The stones require a small splash of water and your off to sharpening immediately and they do a GREAT job. My knives havent been this harp in a long time.
