Love these! Wish I had ordered some for my house. These were for an AIRBNB and they're perfect. Affordable, good quality, and style. They are not lightweight at all. The box they were shipped in had a little bit of damage and they were safe and snug without a chip in sight. Might order a couple of sets for my home.

Would shipped to me with no chips. I have washed these in the sink. I’ve washed them in the dishwasher done have chipped or broke. I even moved and had to boxes these up and pack them and unpack them. Nothing has broke. Nothing has chipped. These are just basic dishes that were fabulous and the price was awesome.

I was way overdue for some new dishes. All of my dishes were old and in bad shape and I broke most of my sets. I finally got around to purchasing more but hated the thought of paying so much for them, considering I needed so many. I found this set and decided to get it. I didn't need any mugs and this set includes six of each item so I thought it would be a good base set that I could slowly build upon. It would allow me to immediately have enough new dishes for a low price but then I can add to my collection on the more expensive dishes a bit at a time. This set is a great deal. The price is very low compared to others and the quality is excellent. The dishes are not light and thin; they are heavy (but not too much) and not fragile. Utensils do not scratch them. They also hold up perfectly in the dishwasher and microwave. The bowls are deep and perfect for soups and cereals. The dinner plates are a good size. The dessert plates are a bit small but are good for dessert. What I mean by that is that they aren't the type of plate you can use for a small meal. They're more for eating a sandwich on or a slice of cake (hence the title "dessert plate"). The rim of the plates takes up quite a bit of space so the actually eating surface isn't as big as it sounds by calling it a 10.5-inch plate. However, you can still pile food onto the edges to make up for it. It hardly makes a difference because the edges aren't much higher than the surface of the plate. The only flaw in these plates is that they don't stack evenly. They don't look uneven to the eye at all, but you can notice when you stack them. If you want them on display (in a glass-doored cabinet, for instance), they won't look very pretty. However, if you store them in a plate rack or in a solid door cabinet, they are just fine. These are great if you want a basic set of inexpensive dishes. They're a great starter set for building upon or for someone just starting out in a new house, dorm, or apartment.

I'd had the same dishes since my mom and grandma bought me a set before I graduated high school, so I was kind of attached to them. However, 30 years on, and two kids (and many cats) later, I had very few plates or bowls left (LOTS of breakage after those kids came along!) and decided I needed to bite the bullet and get some new ones (dishes, not kids). I looked...A LOT! There are so many colors, patterns and shapes to choose from nowadays. I considered Corelle and melamine dishes for their durability, but I've eaten off of Corelle dishes, and they felt cheap. And melamine? Not microwaveable and only dishwasher safe on the top rack?? Really?? Impractical. Fiesta dinnerware comes in beautiful colors...but you pay for it and their durability seems questionable. So, after several days of searching and reading reviews, I decided to go plain jane. I'm glad I did. These dishes are very basic, but they seem sturdy (one of our cats has knocked a few plates off the counter, and they've all survived the fall), and well-made. There were no spots or uneven bottoms on any of the dishes I received. I really like that this set DOES NOT include mugs - we never use mugs, so why pay for them? I bought two sets of these dishes and plan to get another set soon - just in case - so I won't ever have to replace my dishes again...I hope.

Let me start by saying that I love Amazon Basics, and I love that Amazon is taking the time to build their own brand from everything from dinnerware to batteries. Now that my bias is out of the way let's start by ticking off a few things I love about this dinnerware set. -It's just white: I hate fancy colorful dinnerware, I want something that's plain yet at the same time is beautiful in its own right. Amazon Basics plates aren't loud and the center of attention, they accent a meal by presenting it on a simple canvas. -They're affordable: I've gone the rout of purchasing fancy dinnerware that was four times as expensive as my Amazon dinnerware, and whenever something was dropped and broke (I'm not particularly graceful) it felt awful, but the price I paid for Amazon's dinnerware set makes a broken plate or bowl much less of an event, eventually if we break or chip enough of them we just grab another set. -Mugs are optional: I don't use mugs, I'm a barbarian who loves the smell of coffee but has never gotten used to the taste of it. For people like myself we're usually doomed to get some mugs that we will rarely if ever use in our daily lives. A great compromise my wife and I made in choosing Amazon Basics was in buying one set with the mugs and another set without. Now we have 4 mugs and 10 sets of dishes that we will actually use, and my wife has more than enough mugs for her bi-monthly mug of hot tea. In short, I like that I don't worry about whether or not bumping a cabinet wall will break my plate, and I love that I was given options through amazon about whether or not I needed more useless mugs (the answer was mostly no, but my wife makes persuasive arguments). Get these plates if your kitchen doesn't need a $200 dinnerware set and you just want to eat. A broken plate shouldn't be cause for tears, and now it isn't!

Das Set ist wirklich in Ordnung, vor allem für den Preis. Es ist schlicht, weiß und passt dadurch eigentlich in jede Küche. Die Teller und Schüsseln wirken stabil, nicht zu dünn, und lassen sich problemlos in der Spülmaschine reinigen. Natürlich ist es kein Luxusgeschirr, aber genau das erwarte ich von Amazon Basics auch nicht. Für den Alltag reicht es völlig aus – egal ob für Familie oder Gäste. Wer ein günstiges, solides Geschirr sucht, wird hier zufrieden sein.

I bought the product under lightening deal and thus got it for a very good price. Was packed in a way that it was almost impossible for the product to get damaged. The product is very good for daily use, in terms of design, size, colour, and quality. The bowls are large enough to be used as serving vessels. I'm very happy with the service, packing, and the quality of the product.
