But it is well made and probably not need of repair for a long while to come. **Q: Can I route this straight from my computer, and equalize any noise output coming from there?** A: No. No. No. You need to find where the hum or noise is coming from. Trying to eq it out is extremely poor audio practice. Thete are lots of things to try inclcludibg lifting AC ground, chassis grounds, etc. Hum is sctually a 60hz feedback loop somewhere. Other noise is probably because you have outputs on equipment too high. Remember, no matter the equipment the higher you set an output the more you've amplified internal noise. People don't thing of a mixer ad an amplifier but it actually is. Your taking the millivolt mic signal and adding gain(amplification) to it. The best practice here is to get your much input to overload then back off till it no longer distorts. This is the beginning of the audio chain. This sets the ultimate noise level.
