More for a collector than a child.
Pros- Very cool idea. Very pretty and good size. Cons- Very HARD to assemble. It says 6 and up. The Aft is way too hard for a 6 year old. You have to build on to smaller blocks but when you build out it collapses because it’s not braced or supported. My 10 year old had me put it together because she thought it was too hard. The directions a very hard to understand. Especially when using darker bricks because the lines run together. I have put together a lot of lego sets. This is by far the hardest. It’s more for a collector that wants to glue it together more than a child’s building set.

Fantastic set for the price!!!!!!!!
I got this for my 7 year old son who is a lego fanatic. The set was too difficult for him to do on his own because the instructions were picture based and not really numbered like with LEGO sets. The bags weren’t even numbered. No worries though, just a slight inconvenience. Aside from that, the bricks were solid and can fit with LEGO brand bricks. The pieces fit together nicely and of the 1,000+ pieces, we were only missing a small red brick, which we were able to replace with one of his extra LEGO bricks. The set is huge and a little to delicate to be played with as a toy. The display light was a nice addition, Although, my son wants to play with it. I foresee a future of fixing the titanic many times. Anyways, it’s a great set for cheap and I’m super bummed this company only makes this one set and not more. Good quality and great design.

So much fun!
I had been waiting forever to buy this and finally did, my roommate & I loved it! We gladly spent 5 hours doing this til 2am, only having to re-fix some fallen pieces every now & then & with only one bathroom break haha. Building legos is always fun even when you’re 30 haha! I say the directions were a 4 star just because it was hard to see smaller items/lines on the pages because they were glossy. I kinda wish the book was also a bit larger for us squinting folks. I think it was probably like the size of like paper 8x11 with like 10 pages front & back. The best part about the book is the guidance. It showed pictures very well, even showed the smaller pieces above it for reference on how to build. The graphics were good, it was very easy to build this. This was definitely fun and highly recommend. I only have 3 complaints though. 1. we were missing parts of the crocodile that was supposed to come with it (see photo). Not that it really matters lol but it was cute that it was part of the set. & 2. How are you going to sell a titanic themed Lego set & make ROSES HAIR BLONDE!!! Her hair is Red!! Haha shame! & 3. The stand that you build was definitely not sturdy enough, I use mine without it because mine wasn’t flat. It wobbled and was properly put together, just one side was shorter for some reason or bent not sure. Also, when you receive the box don’t freak out like I did because the box itself isn’t titanic themed just says something like Lego ship set. Have fun!

Good, but short of great
I bought this for my youngest son's 5th birthday, as he is currently infatuated with big ships especially the Titanic. I have 2 son's and Lego is pretty much engrained in my DNA at this point As you may know this isn't official Lego, so some pieces are a little harder to put together especially when you have a big piece going over multiple pieces at once not a problem but sometimes takes a little umph to get pieces in place. The overall build took me about 3 hours with my boys all over me trying to help and put pieces where they don't belong. I normally let them just have at it with their legos but with this set having so many piece and the instruction not very really clear on where they all go (it's hard to see separation with some pieces) this takes a keen eye. My only real issue with the set though was the packaging. The box was nice, the instructions were quite good for such a large set with 30 steps to complete, it’s not bad. But the pieces come in about 10 bags with no rhyme or reason as to how they were bagged. I would have much preferred all the pieces for the bottom level in one bag. Second level another bag, so forth and so on. After about 20 minutes of looking for a piece, I ended up opening each bag and dumping them in the box, then moving all the bigger pieces (anything bigger than a 2x4 piece) out onto my table and separating those by color (Red, White, Black, Tan). This took about 20 minutes not counting stragglers along the way. Overall I’d give it 4/5 stars and my problem now is that I did all the work and my 5 year old will have it destroyed in a week, but it’s his so, whatcha gonna do? Oh also the smoke stacks are out on piece that kind of swivel and it’s impossible to make them all stand upright, not sure why they went with this design choice, but the lil dude doesn’t seem to kind lol

My son LOVES it!
My son is 10 and has been obsessed with the titanic for a few years now. I bought this for him for Christmas since he’s been asking for an “Lego” titanic for a while now, and my husband helped him assemble it. It took them about 3 hours because some parts were a little tough to get together but the end result is great. His only complaint is that it can’t float on water and that it doesn’t break like the real titanic did lol. Don’t buy this is you don’t plan on helping your kid build it because this isn’t super easy.

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU ARE AN ENGINEER
Here is the deal, people. I have a 7 year old who is, like most 7 year olds, obsessed with the Titanic and legos. We have spent A LOT of money on Legos. And for the price, I actually thought this was a fairly decent buy for my daughter's BIG Christmas gift. I'm from the South and my mama told me that you should always do a compliment sandwich where you stick the negative in between two positive things. Here we go. It is beautiful and really cool. (Well, on the photos on Amazon- we haven't gotten it fully assembled yet, so I can't say for sure this is true in real life.). And it is now April. The pieces are well painted- or however they color Legos. Now, for the tea. This was so unbelievably difficult that I literally wanted to cry at several points. My boyfriend (and trust me, it's a miracle we are still together after attempting to assemble this as a couple) struggled ALL of Christmas Day with this beast. And still we could not get past the stern. IT continued to break apart. I think the designer of this set took legitimate advice from the real Titanic engineers in how to create a super faulty ship that would break apart easily. No lives were lost in the attempted assembly of this model, but that is only because we love the Lord and believe in forgiveness. WE FORGIVE the people that made the worst instruction booklet ever to exist in Asia. WE FORGIVE the Lego engineers behind Susengo. WE FORGIVE the person who had the audacity to write "Easy to assemble" on the box. But most importantly, we FORGIVE ourselves for purchasing this, for not having the intellectual quotient to complete it and for letting our child down. IF you are able to purchase this and complete it- I am sure you will be very happy with your achievement in life and have a beautiful model. IF this does occur, go ahead and join MENSA and begin mining for Bitcoin because YOU are going somewhere BIG. I think that sums it up. Ya'll be good, now ya hear?

Major frustration. Near Rage.
We purchased this for my son as a late Christmas present. I just recently began putting it together with him. It was beyond frustrating for him, so he quit. I continued. There were quite a few times I almost created the Titanic scene on the floor of the Atlantic. The instructions are brutal! I have to zoom in on my phone for some portions of the instructions. Compare that to true LEGO instructions and it is night and day. The pieces do not lock!!!!! The rear of the ship falls apart when working on the rear. There is an abundance of missing pieces, which I find absolutely unacceptable! So far I was able to salvage this by gutting other true LEGO blocks. I just hope and pray that I will be able to complete this junk. Will let you all know if I complete. Such a shame because this would be a beautiful build.

Very happy with this set
My son is 10 and loves doing Lego sets, and he got this set for Easter. My wife sits with him to help with the tougher parts, but for the most part he does all of it. They said that while it wasn’t extremely hard, each step has way more pieces per step. Also the bags are not numbered, so you will probably want to at least sort all of the pieces by color to help. That being said, the blocks feel as high quality as real Lego pieces and fit together very well. They said they were missing 2 pieces, which they easily found replacements from extra pieces from other Lego sets. Considering this was over $500 cheaper than the Lego version of the Titanic, we literally could not be happier with it. Thanks for making a typically ridiculously priced toy/puzzle affordable.

5yr old can build it.
Bought it for my son's Christmas present who is 5yrs old. He did it in 2days. He's into his legos as well. He did have some challenges with it,so i helped him out there, but most of the build he did it by himself. Very good lego i thought.
