I've tried several WiFi smart dimmer switches and this is the best one I've found. The on-off and dimming functions work smoothly and once the switch is loaded in the app it integrates well. Which leads me to my one complaint about this switch. The switch does not self install in automatic mode and the teeny-tiny installation guide does not tell how to get the switch in AP mode, this has been the same for three switches I've installed. I don't used the Topgreener app (I already had several WiFi smart devices set up in another app) but only found out how to put the switch in AP mode by installing the Topgreener app - which provides those instructions. Also, beware of the notification function, once turned on I have not found a way to turn it off short of uninstalling and reinstalling the switch in the app. However minor annoyances for what is a very good WiFi smart dimmer switch. One other really big bonus with this WiFi smart dimmer switch is that it can be used in single pole or three-way applications (with additional remote switch). Recommended!

The switch looks great and is easy to use with only the rocker switch. Tap up to turn on, hold up to brighten. Tap down to turn off, hold down to dim. I would have like to have pigtails for the wires instead of the standard screw terminals. If you are replacing standard switches that had screw terminals it would be an easy swap. However, most smart switches these days come with pigtails for the contacts. I did not use the Topgreener app since it is just a re-branded Smartlife app and I already have many other Smartlife compatible devices using the Smartlife app. I also like that the switch is 3-way and 4-way compatible with the addition of a compatible add-on switch. No need to buy a dedicated 3-way switch set (they do sell 3-way kits with both included). The dimming level on my LED lights is great. I can get the light very dim without flicker or them shutting off.

I have other Topgreener switches Ive installed in the past issue-free, but these were a nightmare. The actual installation went ok - But getting the Topgreener app to find them was impossible. Over an hour wasted. So I finally called Topgreener, they were VERY helpful and it’s appreciated. But what leads me to write this review is that Topgreener themselves told me their app was having problems and I should download a third-party app called Smartlife. Once I did, it found the new switches and my existing ones no problem. Love the switches, but if you are recommending I use someone elses software with your product - Not very reassuring. I couldnt find anything online to help so maybe this will save someone an hour.

One of the switches has failed within 30 days of installation. The switch no longer outputs power on the load terminal. Everything indicates the switch is working (led light & phone app), but no power is emitted when testing the load terminal. I do not recommend.

Pros: +++/finally, a smart wall switch with a thin aluminum plate that actually fits regular wa plates (most others are thick plastic and don’t fit normal wall plates-lower qualify,imho) + dims nicely up and down even on led bulbs + gap switch if you ever need to cut the power (easier than throwing a breaker) +led light is small but helpful in showing power to switch +great packaging and instructions +also worked with smart life app +high quality screw down connections +optional three way capability (not tested) if sticker is removed +black almond and white switch colors included ! +nice single face plate included (didn’t use because it fit my std three gang plates +improvement over KMC wall switches that i had to return as both broke or stopped worked in under a month Cons: -would rather not have the arrows on the faceplates but not big con -thick switch, wide and fairly deep (all switches seems this way) -no way to not dim on on/off toggle -some bulbs might not work with dimming switch?

I cannot give this product the glowing review I would like to because I experienced comparability issues. First, let me clarify this review is for Topgreener Wifi Dimmer Switch 2-pack, because it looks like reviews for many topgreener products get dumped into the same bucket. The issue experienced is that the dimmer wouldn't dim the lights. It was either on or off. The lights and fixtures were previously working and bring dimmed by a Lucron dimmer. The bulbs were three Sylvania BR30 Led bulbs in overhead fixtures. These were working and dimming with the Lucron dimmer. Upon installing, the lights wouldn't dim. Troubleshooting, I found that removing one bulb so that only 2 were running, then the remaining two would dim. I put a non-led bulb in and that worked. I ordered an Amazon basics led br30light and put one of those in, with the existing 2 sylvania Led bulbs, and it works. That is where I am leaving this system. Otherwise it was fine. Requires the existing wiring to provide neutrals and separate ground. If the existing wiring provides only 3 wires (hot, ground, load) and no neutral, you have a problem to sort out with an electrician. Or, buy another dimmer which is designed to not require neutral. From a wifi and smart app perspective, it works as expected. Their app seems to be a rebrand of Tuya Smart, and I didn't want to have another app managing this when I already have Tuya managing other devices. So I set it up with Tuya instead and it works well. Please, if you do not buy this product, make sure what you do buy is UL listed. This one is. It is too easy to buy mart electrical components on Anazon that lack UL certification. You really dont want to do that.
