Great kit. Had no issues with the install at all. It's sturdy, slides smoothly, and looks great. Just an amazing value.My only complaint is that everything in the manual was in metric (cm vs. inches) so I had to do a lot of conversions for measurements and drill bits. But that's such a snotty American complaint. As an aside, I think the US should switch to the metric system. We are the only big player not on it and that's just not fair to anyone. But in the meantime, i know inches and the instructions are not in inches. So a lot of conversions on my phone as i went. But no biggy.I also had a scare during install that my door was too tall. When you hang the rail and get your door ready to hang, you will probably have an "oh sh*t" moment where you are POSITIVE your door is too tall. You'll curse the metric system, curse the instructions, and recheck your measurements. Do not despair! It's probably perfect. My door had about a quarter inch clearance at the bottom but when right before it was hung there was definitely an optical image that it was WAY too big.Great kit!!

I needed them for a project outside. It works just fine. I hung two eight foot gate doors so that they open sideways and not out into the street or back into the yard. It’s a cleaner look and less stress on the heavy plastic posts.

I bought and installed several years ago for my hay barn. They are intended for indoor use, but have endured the rough use of a barn door opened and closed daily for over two years. They were easy to install and operate smoothly. They'll jump the tracks when my dogs bang into the door while it's open, but I would expect that. I would recommend to a friend.

I am absolutely amazed at how fabulous this turned out. We made the door 8x4 feet and this heavy duty kit was just what we needed to complete the project. The kit is extremely sturdy and strong enough to hold a heavy door. The hardware is definitely a good quality and I have no doubt it will last for many years. For us, it was essentially an easy install. We do a lot of DIY projects and have seen many different kinds of instruction manuals. Most of the time, we can complete them with minimal instructions. So, if you're not handy with projects and such, it might seem a little overwhelming. Just be sure to measure, measure, and measure again before hanging. An important tool you'll need is a 15/32 drill bit. It was the one size we didn't have. So, we made a special trip to the hardware store just for that. Otherwise, we were done installing in about an hour.

This sliding door hardware worked perfectly. As long as you install it level and hang a square door level from the rails, it slides with one finger. Although the directions are a bit off (as others have said) I did not have to redo any steps. Read everything first and make sure that you install the stops before bolting on the track as that step is out or order in the directions. Makes the installation much easier.This came with bolts for a 1 3/8 door (separate package) and a 1 3/4 door (packaged in the spacers). It also came with masonry anchors. Really, it has whatever you need. I installed a 3/4" decorative header board because I needed the door to get past both base boards and quarter rounds. Hangs perfectly and clears everything. I would buy this again if I ever need to put up another barn door.For the door, I made an 87"X87" and the system handled it well. I used 1/4" plywood with 1X4 trim on the surround and cross braces. I put the trim and cross bracing on both sides for rigidity - resulting in a 1 3/4" wide door. Worked perfectly.The only complaint is that all the measurements are metric and the bolts are metric head. Certainly not a deal breaker but it did require lots of marking in place rather than measuring because my measuring tape is standard and does not have millimeters. Not a big enough complaint to lose a star!

A few steps to accomplish the build and you will need some help hanging door and doing the alignment. I had to get a header board to screw door hanging material too and that made the install much easier. But it’s solid and looks great 10/10

Work great. Rolls freely. Instructions are pretty straight forward.
