My Favorite Shoes!
What can I say? They're Keens! Comfortable, sturdy, and cute. Great price, too. Always have good footing when I wear them, and never have tired feet. Beautiful color, too.

Comfort for long days of walking over uneven Italian streets
These are great for days with a lot of walking! Purchased for a trip to italy and they did not disappoint. Did have to add some Aetrex insoles because of my high arch, but they were wide enough and very comfortable. The stiff sole was perfect for walking on cobblestone streets. I did also spray them with a little waterproofing because rain was expected, and that helped a lot. Pair with some nice padded wool socks and you'll be all set for a winter trip in Europe.

Great shoes, but turn my toes black
The fit is excellent, for me. I have ingrown toenail problems and the toe box is wide enough so that I don't have any pressure on my toes any more. I can stand eight hours a day with no problems, the shoes are great and supportive. I have been wearing the shoes daily since November last year, so it's about three months. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years. I LOVE THESE SHOES. Still I have to take off a star, because of the following problem: Sometimes the shoes turn my toes black. This has happened about a dozen times. I do not generally have sweaty feet. But now and then, my feet get a little warm, since I'm standing all day at work. I came home one day, took off my socks and shoes, and the tip of my right sock was black, and to my dismay my actual right big toe and second toe were black too. Something (dye, I suppose), is coming out of the shoe leather and into the sock, then through the sock to my toes. When this happens I have to scrub the black off with soap and water. It doesn't come off easily, either. There is always some left, that takes some time to wear away. This dye can't be good for the skin, should not be happening, and I'm not sure what I can do to fix this. I don't want to mess around with applying fixatives or sealants to the inside of my shoes. I hope Keen will offer some solution. Thanks for reading.

Great shoes for the day hiker who likes nice dinners, too
I initially tried these shoes on at a few local retailers, as I was on a short timeline. The stores didn't have the half-size I needed, though, so I turned to Amazon. I was looking for a shoe that could function for day hiking in moderate terrain (trail hiking, not bushwhacking or mountain climbing) but that was also stylish enough to be worn abroad and in my professional office. Essentially I wanted something I could wear anywhere in the world for any dry-ground activity I was likely to take part in without standing out as a typical running-shoe-clad American. My biggest concern going in was the other reviews that said it wasn't likely to be good for hiking, but I took my chances. I'm delighted that I did. Less than a week after receiving my shoes in the mail I went on a trip that ended up including city walking and a five mile hike on a rustic trail with 1500 feet of elevation gain. My feet never hurt once. I'm usually prone to blisters when hiking, but in these shoes none of my usual tender patches flared up - and I didn't find any new sore sports, either. I have a bad ankle (bimalleolar fracture in 2009 requiring four screws, which are still in place) that is often swollen, but these shoes accommodate it beautifully. Despite being laced shoes, I found them very fast to take off and put back on at TSA. And they weathered the hike marvelously. I was concerned that the rubber over the toes would scuff or nick on the rocky, dusty terrain, but they didn't - and I know I smacked them into edges several times. The leather uppers cleaned off easily with a damp paper towel when we got home. The soles themselves proved more than a match for moderate slopes varying from bare rocks to loose sand. I would switch into something else if I was looking to cross muddy terrain, I think, but for your average day hike these are great.

Have to work? Don't care about how *pretty* your shoes are? These shoes are AMAZING!
Ordered these for my girlfriend, this is her review: I ordered these shoes for work. My work is kind-of hard to describe. I will just say: I walk a lot...in rain, snow, sleet; I climb ladders, I can be walking around in standing water--any of this--I can be doing all of it for MANY hours. THESE SHOES ARE AWESOME. They're ugly, but they're awesome. To call them awesome, despite how very unattractive they are, one needs experience in the elements I've dealt with, I suppose...with the wrong shoes. So, they're chick shoes...right? When I received them, they had pink flowers in the soles and sparkly black laces. Beyond the size, that's the only indication I have that these are 'lady' shoes. They're ugly. There are no longer pink flowers in the soles, the sparkly laces remain, but their looks are not their purpose. These are work shoes. I can wear them all day without thinking about them...which is the mark of a good working shoe. I cannot recollect slipping in them; yes I do mean in rain, snow, sleet, dust, oil, grease, wet grass, all of thee above. Again I say; THEY ARE UGLY...and again, after working in them for so long, I have to ask: please sir, can I have some more? Other colors, other materials, other ankle heights...can you make me these in a steel or otherwise OSHA approved toe? I NEED ALL OF IT. Amazing shoe for the 'working WOman.' So now you're wondering... FIT: Length-I wear 9.5 typically. These fit perfect. -15F? Thick socks? Fine. 93F? Thinner socks...(or maybe not?)...Fine. Adjust the laces if necessary, folks. Heel-Feels good to me. I have what most would describe as a small/thin heel. Box-Again, feels good to me. I have what most would describe as a broad 'below-toe/box' measurement. Arch-Perfect for me. I have moderate-to-high arches and my feet really still feel great after days, and days, and DAYS in these awesome shoes. Bottom line-I always feel that adjusting the laces can give me a better/proper fit in these shoes should conditions or my preferences change. I'd say the absolutely worst thing about the shoes is their complete-and-utter-ugliness, coupled with stinkiness. I leave this to the end because I understand that personal foot 'stank' can vary. I don't have any other shoes that stink like these, *BUT* I also don't spend so much time working hard in other shoes. Have to work? Don't care about how *pretty* your shoes are? These shoes are AMAZING!

mixed review
I've waited a long time to try a pair of Keens and had hopeful expectations. I thought the original Presidio was the best choice. It does check a lot of boxes.... With advanced arthritis (due to Lyme) in my feet, walking is painful. Best for me is a very firm stiff sole. These shoes definitely work for me in that way. The sole is very firm, and there's enough of an arch. That said, most firm shoes should have a quality comfy insert on top. This shoe has a GOOD (not great) insert. I immediately added a gel insert making the shoe more comfortable for me. Some reviews claim the toe box is narrow - I have a med to wide foot and the toe box is plenty roomy (even with the additional insert I added). The sides are stiff and a bit higher than some shoes - honestly they rubbed (hurt) the bottom of my ankles. Those gel inserts help to lift my foot a bit higher in the shoe so that is less of a problem. Lastly, the shape of the shoe from the top is well just "off." Almost seems like there's something wrong, like the shoe is a knock off or a "second" or something. Don't get me wrong, the shoes are comfortable for the 1/2 day I've worn them... but I don't think overall I would have spent this money if I had tried them on in a store. Photo of the inside bottom of the shoe without the Keen insert (you can note the construction of the shoe as well as the odd shape of the outside front of the shoe). The orange foam-type insert is the Keen insert - meh.

Well made shoe
Try them before you make your decision. I felt they were too short I was going to send back so I put them back on and they felt good. I started to war them and I love them! So comfortable, roomy toe box after you break them in they are so comfortable.

I don't have $$$ to gamble on KEEN shoes showing up wearable. The company's gone bad.
UPDATED YET AGAIN. 9-14-2024. Well, the quality just keeps getting worse. the arch support that keeps me buying these shoes even though they don't last is gone in this pair. The soles are hard as rock, and there is no arch support at all anymore. Additionally, the lumps in the interior of the shoe from bad construction are now making blisters on my feet. Maybe because of the inferior arch supports Keen now uses. My feet were killing me by the end of my work shift. I'd be better off going to work barefoot. How can they keep getting worse and worse and not go out of business? Updated. Updated AGAIN. BEWARE. They are advertised as 100% leather. They are not. The old style with the leather insole are wonderful and fit the way you'd expect from the old KEEN company. These are not the same. The insole is covered with fabric, and this is the second pair I've had to send back because the insoles are obviously malformed. It's not that the arch support is in the wrong place, it's that the footbed is uneven throughout the shoe, and left and right shoes are lumpy in different places. I can only imagine these creating back injuries and sore feet and legs rather than helping with them the way you used to be able to rely on Keen to do. I used to love this company for it's quality. I really miss it. I have kept trying, hoping to win the lottery and get a pair that came off the assembly line the way they should, or that I'll receive an older pair that's been sitting in some warehouse because no one liked that color or style. I don't care about that, I care about getting through a 8 hour day on my feet for the next 10 years. Few products in my life I truly lament the loss of. Keen is one of them. I am getting tired of playing shoe roulette with Amazon. Gotta work, gotta have shoes to work in. What's the answer, I wonder? I bought a second pair of the brown, supposedly 100% leather version of this shoe. The insole is fabric like the blueberry ones, and foot bed is lumpy and uneven, like the blueberry. I am truly sad. Buying shoes on Amazon is a waste of time unless you enjoy repacking and returning bad merchandise, and Mr. Bezos might consider taking some of his richest man in the world money and doing some quality control. I'll never buy another pair of Keen shoes unless I can try them on first, because the company does no quality control, and neither does Amazon, apparently. Quality is inconsistent between the different colors of this style. The brown version was perfect, the blueberry is bad. Inconsistent quality between the different colors of these shoes. These have to go back. I am sick at heart. Keen used to be the only shoe I would put on my feet for work. Now the quality is so hit and miss I could cry. For years the only shoes I'd wear to work KEEN Voyageur boots, but then the soles started falling apart literally, the different color lugs would just fall out. And then the sides would blow out in a couple of months. Desperate for work shoes I bought the Presidio style in brown, just to take a chance that a different style might be made better, and got a pair of old style reliable KEEN shoes. VICTORY! Putting them on is like hugging your feet. So when the Blueberry went on sale for $88, I bought a pair to put away and save till I have worn out the brown ones. I am on my feet for hours everyday, and walk miles, and climb and move constantly. I am getting too old to deal with inconsistent quality. The Brown Presidio have perfect arch support. Where it's supposed to be, in the arch. The cover of the insole is leather. The same style Blueberry have lumps in the soles at the ball of the of one foot, and the other just doesn't sit right at all. There is no arch support to speak of. The insole is fabric. This is advertised as the same shoe, but it's wrong. And it's going back. So buyer beware. If you can afford to play roulette with your health and your job, go ahead. It might be o.k. IF your back starts to hurt though, it may be the shoes. I don't know what I am going to do now. If anyone has any suggestions for a well made reliable work shoe, or how to tell which styles are worth buying for the price I am listening, because the only thing consistent about KEEN these days is the outrageous price. So disappointed.
