MAYITOP Replacement Canister Vacuum Floor Brushes, Compatible with Kenmore, 2 Pack

Excellent replacement for my decades-old Kenmore Progressive vacuum. The newer Kenmore 400-Series vacuum is also a high-quality vacuum, closely styled to the Progressive model we love so much. The smaller triangular floor attachment of that newer Kenmore model is OK, but not as good. So we got this twin-pack floor attachment for both of those vacuums, which use the same factory-made side hole. I believe that second hole on top of the collar was drilled after factory production to allow attachment accommodation with other Kenmore models with the hole needing to be at the top instead of the side. This explains why some reviewers say they have a hard time pressing the release button on those models. This is because the floor attachment guard collar hole region was not ground down/beveled a bit for easy button access, like the side hole was. It's not a deal-breaker for me. In fact, I'm impressed with how well-made these floor attachments are, right down to the horse-hair bristles.

Vacuum cleaner designs jumped the shark (no Shark™ pun intended) after the 2nd generation of Kenmore 116 models & this brush is a big part of that, but the good news is that these nearly identical replacements are available! Nearly identical because they are the same plastic piece, BUT, these have horsehair brushes instead of the acrylic ones that sold w/Kenmore vacs, so these are actually mush better. With the help of adapter pieces, often found w/wet/dry vac accessories in home improvement stores, you adapt them to wands they don't fit. Why bother? Because this brush is so low profile w/a short swivel angle that it goes everywhere you need it to. Its width & depth are helpful sizes too. The placement of the brushes is just right to catch hair, etc. without blocking suction or pushing particles away. My professional cleaning has been sped back up & made more thorough again by my ability to pair these w/the vacuums now commonly purchased by my clients.

Brushes were compatible with Kenmore cannister wand and worked well. The mating angle of the brush neck with the wand axis is a bit off such that the resulting profile is lower than normal (i.e. more horizontal), but this is a small ergonomic issue and doesn't affect function.
