I've been lusting over these glasses for years now, and finally talked myself into getting them. Sure they're considerably more expensive than your usual water/juice glasses, but they're made by La Rochere! The folks who made Napoleon's glasses! Anything that's good enough for Napoleon has got to be good enough for me! These are great. I no longer need to buy wine glasses since these are perfect for wine as well (when I'm pretending to be sitting at a cafe in France drinking a carafe of wine). They have a certain charm and whimsy that even my wine snob friends don't gasp when I serve wine in them. Great for juice in the mornings as well, as it helps with portion control (which helps when my brother wants to come over and drink gallons of my organic OJ). I thought these would have a greenish blue tinge (like sea glass), and was a tiny bit disappointed when I saw that they were completely clear. But that's the way it's supposed to be, right? Anyway, I love these. My mother tried to get me to give them to her on her latest visit, and had to pretend that they were my roommate's so that I can keep them in my house!

These are adorable and the glass is so clear it almost has a slight tent of green in it they are made in a factory from like 1400s in France I love the fleur de lis pattern on each side of them. it’s delightful to look at. you will enjoy the weight of these as well as putting your mouth on them they are smooth and comfortable and yet not heavy but just right!

I use these wonderful glasses for wine mostly ( 9 oz size). They are a lovely classic design, very attractive study glasses. I have the Fleur-de-lye pattern but they also have them with the Napoleon Bee. I bought my first two at a resale store and after using them for a several months I was determined to find a set. I am very happy Amazon has them! They were sent carefully packaged!

Love these glasses. I use these for my everyday glasses! They are perfect for wine, as they are very sturdy. Worth ever penny. I have had my old ones for years and was happy to see that they are still making these. I bought more because I’m afraid they will discontinue them. That would make me very sad. Please don’t discontinue them- ever!

I ordered the Fleur De Lys glasses last week after seeing how well the La Rochere Bee glasses looked and held up in a friend's home. However, these goblets hold only 8 ounces, and that's filled completely to the brim; 7.0 - 7.5 ounces would be a more realistic capacity. Still, they are ideal for wine, juice, or smaller drinks. The glass has a very, very slight yellow tint, but they are quite heavy and the design is lovely. I expect to order the larger size soon and enjoy both sets for a long time!

I'm always on the lookout for a smaller glass for beer - don't like the 12 oz or 16 oz regular beer glasses and wine glasses are too delicate. These glasses are beautifully made in one piece with no seams, heavy duty (haven't broken one yet), and have fleur de lys molded into the glass. What could be better than that? And they come from a country that, while it isn't exactly known for its beer, has always been a friend to Ireland and the Irish. SOLD!

I really like these glasses. They are thicker than ones you get in the store and I was looking for something stronger that I would not have to replace so soon. I think they are a little on the expensive side and the quality could be better (see others comments about the ridge going down the side). Some of my glasses did not have the ridge and some did; odd? The glasses have the design all the way around the glass evenly spaced (I had wondered and asked this question); there are 4 Fleur De Lyes on each glass. Can't wait to use them. They came packed very well so no breakage!

Lovely heritage glasses for a heritage house. They are lovely on the table and we have the wine glasses as well.
