Great complex strategy planning game
Great game, thought it would be easier to learn but it doesnt matter. There are a quick start rules to become familiar with game principles in a very short time and even when these rules are covering about 40% of the whole game posibilities (maybe even a little less), it is still fun to play it. When you learn principles, you can switch to the complete rules or just add a parts of the complete rules to the game piece by piece. I can only recommend it.

Battle Geeks UNITE!!!
This game is pretty darn great. I’ve got a few different battle games that include table top miniatures. The move model is pretty good, a little different than the competitors/similar games. Great fun.

Great Looking Miniatures
The miniatures are the best pre-painted I've seen (and I've seen a lot). I haven't gotten a chance to actually play it yet myself but I've heard many people rave about it.

Miniatures Detail
The miniatures are awesome! The detailing is very good. Even the decals are awesome! Ares games should give the crafters a pay raise!

Models damaged, flimsy packaging
One of the models was damaged in the package (fine, I can magnetize it), but the flimsiness of most of the components bothers me more. This is not like X-Wing, with thick, cardboard templates and obstacles. The Battlestar material is a thick cardstock instead. Also the main combat mechanic of 2d6, plus or minus integer modifiers, just seems out of place in its simplicity, compared to the (appreciated) complexity of the rules of momentum, kinetic energy, altitude, etc.

Quick fun game
My son loves board games and wanted something that didn't;t take up too much time to set up, like Star Wars Legion and Star Trek Alliance. The detail in the ships is INCREDIBLE. As BSG fans we love this game so far. It is easy to play has an easy and hard mode which is nice.
