It was an highly abridged version for juveniles only. Enjoyed it enough to remember both authors name and title of the book. Determined to get a copy myself oneday got it at desertcart. Very heartening to know that a whole lot of people think highly about this book the same way I do.(see desertcart.com reviews). However 56yrs later I find the unabridged version,though good by itself not suitable for my age.Pity. Review: Must Read - It is an amazing book, it has a very nice story teens must read it this book gives us vibes as you live in old time, you can really feel it

No illustrations
The ebook I got does not have any illustrations although the cover page mentions illustrations by Garth Williams, which is dissapointing. When I try to see order details for this book, there is always an error message which does not happen for the other books
