LabCam Microscope Adapter for iPhone 7/8

I purchased this for capturing images from my inverted microscope for cell culture. I get better views with creative holing of my phone than with this adapter. There is no troubleshooting guide, and it totally did not work. I will be returning this item.

The iDu LabCam adapter works really, really well and I'm SO glad I finally have a very quick, easy, non-fiddly way to capture high resolution images and video easily. We have multiple makes/models of microscopes in our lab (compound, stereo zoom, etc), and outfitting each with traditional microscope cameras & software for image acquisition was getting old. Not to mention the image quality of traditional lab cameras can't really compete with the iphone camera (note - we are mostly using brightfield). This adapter is SO easy to use, fits securely on the phone, and keeps the camera centered exactly in the light path. Note that it doesn't screw onto microscope c-mount adapters, rather fits into the eyepiece tube. For how well it is engineered & fabricated, and how much time it saves, it's totally worth it.

This is such a nicely designed adapter. We used it to record a video of a pathologist describing a specimen illustrating some malignancy. The image came out very clear and with the video recording ability we can easily describe what is going on in the slides in real time. Very easy to use, installs in seconds. Will recommend to all my colleagues.

I am a pathologist who uses this adapter every week to take photomicrographs for a tumor conference. The adapter fits the iPhone 7 perfectly. Its construction is of excellent quality. The optical quality of the image is as good as looking through the microscope.

I bought the latest iLabcam Ultra for iPhone 16 max - Focusing the microscope needs a different adjustment to focusing when the iPhone is in the iLabCam connector. However, when you try to adjust the focus knob on the microscope and watch the iPhone for sharpness, your eyes are too close to the iPhone screen so you cant see the sharpness. Anyway doesnt matter - even when I used a workaround to make my reach longer, as at its best, the images on iPhone are blurred. More than that customer service is a joke. Saying theyre a small company is no excuse, especially at the enormous cost of a piece of plastic with a lens attached to it.

Excellent adapter. I ordered this to capture cell images in lab and I really wasn't expecting much (I've used other adapters out there to my disappointment)...but this was great. High quality pictures, easy to install, and intuitive to use. Worth it.

Will need to change it once I switched to a new iPhone (other than 7Plus)

Simple to use, takes great pictures, relatively inexpensive (I purchased used).
