Great product but you can just use the spam can instead of this
I liked this product but realized I could just use the spam can to make misubi, still works as intended and I like the tamper, you can really compress the rice down! Very sturdy! Misubi is very easy and fun to make for friends and family!

Molds great Musubi!
It does exactly what it’s supposed to do! We love musubi and make it often. Easy to clean, perfect size, cheap, and great quality

Press for making musubi sushi
Works great for making musubi sushi. Rice doesn't stick, makes nice uniform sushi.

Gets the job done
The one I was sent broke on it's way to me so maybe not the most durable but it is acrylic. I was sent a replacement that seems to be pretty sturdy. It's super easy to clean but somehow some water got trapped in the handle and I can't find any sort of opening for water to get in or out. So we'll see how that plays out... Some people said rice was sticking to theirs really badly so I've just been dunking mine in some water between making each musubi and it's worked great for me. All in all, it does what it's supposed to but if it breaks I won't be getting the same one. UPDATE More water was trapped in the handle and last month I noticed mold growing in it. 🤢 Tossed this suckered out real fast and bought a pink plastic one somewhere else.

I like it a lot.
It's the perfect size for spam musubi. It's a nice replacement to using the spam can as a mold. Rice sticks to it but a little oil fixes that problem.

Nice DIY spam musubi maker at home
Why buy spam musubi when you can make it at the comfort of your home? I have been making these delightful meals for over a decade now, and I enjoy them so much! My friends always come by for dinner whenever I make spam musubi. This press is made from acrylic so it is really easy to use, clean, and maintain. Pretty happy with this musubi maker so far and it is more effective and efficient than using a cut-up spam can LOL

Spam masubi is a weekly family event now
Fun and Yum! Works great, and it's easy to clean. I really like that it's see-through versus translucent. I'll actually make a six egg omlette in a large frying pan, and after that's cooled down, I'll use the square to cut out my egg slices right in the pan. That's a lot easier than trying to get the egg out of the pan and then cutting it. This form/press makes PERFECTLY shaped musubi. Not sure how orthodox my recipe and ratio is, but I'm slicing a can of spam into 6ths, and making a 6 egg omelette. So I don't make the devils sushi (6-6-6) I make *5* cups of cooked short grain rice and use seasoned rice wine vinegar with that. Don't forget the Furakaki!

Old School
When this style of musubi originally came out, all of the makers were like this acrylic version. I bought a newer one that is made of flimsy plastic and no thanks. These ones are sturdy and easy to use. Anyone from Hawaii remember musibis being onigiri shaped with a possible ume surprise in the middle?

plunger missing
The item looks like cheap plastic, I doubt it's even food grade. It was missing the press/plunger. DO NOT BUY, you have been warned.
