It’s not instant yeast. I had to activate it still proofing took more than 3hours. Works but misleading packaging

This is INSTANT YEAST and not Active Dry Yeast.
The rating 3 because while the product is not bad, it is still not what it claims to be. I have been baking breads a lot this year and have used active dry yeast before. When I received this product, it didn't look the same as the yeasts I have used before. I did some research and found out that this is Instant yeast. There is a difference between the two, however you can use them in place of the other and the results are still great. Instant yeast has finer granules than active dry yeast. Instant yeast can be mixed straightaway into the flour without proofing it in water first which is a requirement for active dry yeast.

Good
I picked up baking as a new hobby last year and this was my first yeast. It is almost 1 year. I've stored it in fridge. Used it yesterday. It is still active and good. Gives very good rise. I'm not sure if any other yeast would give different smell or taste. But I'm satisfied with this product.

Good but careful of the quantity
Good used it once for making breads turned out good for first attempt. Yeast took some time to activate. But it kinda lost its effectiveness after some months... kept the container as per instructions but recently saw something written on the bottle which says refrigerate for better use but dont know how far that's better. My advise would be to go for smaller packs if u are not a frequent user...made the mistake and now more than half remains and is expired. Over priced.
