does it work fine with Sony Alpha a6000 ?

I have the A6000, it fits perfectly, not sure what Bill Hughes is talking about. Does it work with pxw-x70?

The "hot" shoe has the multi function connection which will has up to 18-20 contacts. If your camera has feature on the "hot" shoe you are in luck. works well on Most DSLR's and video cams with the multi function shoe.

Is This Compatible With The Sony A3000?

It should be since the A3000 sports the multi-interface shoe. I know it works with the RX100Mk2 and the NEX6.

can i use this mic with the mic out (not using the hotshoe) on a nikon d610?

That won't work unless you can get clever about giving the mic power. Part of the hotshoe wiring includes the power to the mic as well as the audio outs to the camera. You'd be better off getting a different mic for that camera.
