K&N Cabin Air filter compatible with Ford, Lincoln (VF1011)

This cabin filter is for selected Ford products and fits the Explorer perfectly. Claims to remove dust, pollen, mold, mildew, spores and germs. Filter is electrostatic charged from factory but doesn't come with a recharge kit that is needed after cleaning. So after installing I could almost smell that the air seemed fresher, almost. For sure I have a stronger flow of air from the ducts. Be aware that replacing this filter requires care and a bit of dexterity. Once the glove box is dropped there is a narrow space to squeeze your hand/wrist through to remove the filter and replace it. The filter cover is held by 2 plastic tabs. Familiarize yourself on how to remove the glove box before starting. I put in a picture of the old paper filter I removed. It has 24,000 Kms. on it with zero gravel roads. It has about 2 more years left on it.

K&N is the way to go! These cabin filters already feel so much better than the disposable ones and I can already tell a difference of smell and cleaner air in the cabin. The cabin filter fit perfectly with no issue installing and obviously you cannot deny the quality K&N takes in their products. A big bonus is also just telling any Service Technician that you have a K&N filter instead of them constantly trying to sell up their products LoL.
