Another great book form Jill Salen. I just love her work and the research and detail are never disappointing. I fully recommend this book at anyone with the interest in fashion and historical fashion interest. Great patterns to try.

Beautiful light reading about the different pieces of underwear through time. Draft patterns for each piece are included. It does take a bit of work to adjust to modern sizes, but its well worth it!

This book is beautiful, I love vintage Lingerie, I would say this book is not for beginners, you do need good understanding and experience in construction of these Garments, as for the grading of the miniture patterns if your not sure just remember that each tiny square =.5cm. So 10 tiny squares equals 5 cm ( 2 inches) I hope this is helpful for anyone that is interested in buying this georgeous timeless book, a real treasure.

I purchased this book as I am a good sewer , it gives great information to test all skills , I have shared the book with lots of other students

I have been thinking about getting this book for a while now. It is my Christmas present so can't comment on it until after Christmas. I am interested in making my own lingerie.

But it is a well researched and covers a lot of different underwear styles with patterns. However I found it somewhat disappointing that the patterns looked hand-drawn, without much care, though I have yet to make one of the garments to test their accuracy.

Great book. Lots of examples and some patterns to re-create. All laid out chronologically.
