Good, inexpensive
I know there are much bigger drives out there. This suited a particular design I needed. Also good for RAID arrays

Happy with the performance
For my old main computer this drive was much faster than its original drive. It was easy to install and plug in. Can't hear it running at all which is nice. Very happy.

This is a replacement for the original hdd in my desktop

It records for months . I'm not sure how many but I am pretty sure that I can format it and use it again.

Da Windows nächstes Jahr den Support für Win 10 einstellt habe ich mir diese Festplatte für Linux eingerichtet. Bisher läuft diese tadellos. Das Betriebssystem startet darauf schnell und auch sonst gibt es keine Probleme. Da dies schon meine 2. Barracuda ist kann ich nichts negatives über diese Marke sagen. Von mir daher 5 Sterne

Honestly not much to say here but I've always been a fan of Seagate and they make perfect hard drives. If you have issues it most definitely would be defect or shipping issue. If you have that issue I'm sure Seagate and or Amazon can sort that out for you. I've been with Seagate for years and I don't think they've ever failed me.

I've uses Seagate drives since 1998 and found them to be more reliable and durable than other brands. This particular drive was bought purely to experiment with Linux OS. It's very noisy, which concerns me. Only time will tell if the drive is durable. I've never had a Seagate drive fail on me, but I have had other brands fail. So I base my purchase on this experience.
