Excellent quality sturdy cable reels for the professional or DIY enthusiast
These are excellent quality cable reels for the professional or DIY enthusiast. They are manufactured from a flexible plastic which does not break like the hardened plastic ones. I have purchased 3 cable reels in total and use them to make up 50M extension leads using 2.5mm2 3-core cable. The reels are good and sturdy and I've used one for over 3-years. I'd recommend this product.

Great replacement reel
Bought this to replace a broken reel. Easy to wire up and a fraction of the cost of a complete new reel. Ignore other reviews complaint that there is no cable supplied. It clearly states that it just a reel! Oh well, you just can't fix stupid!

Extension Cable With Large Wire Capacity
Not as thick material as the one it has replaced but has a large wire capacity. Only time will tell if the material lasts as long as the previous wire one I had. Very easy to attach the extension cable.

Empty Extension Cable Reel.
So far this is doing what it was bought for. I had a 50mtr extension cable that was been used outdoors for cleaning the car, power tools, hedge cutting etc. The old reel was in bits, and was a real pain to tidy up after use. I thought I'd give blank reel a go, plus most of the existing reviews were positive. It was very straightforward transferring my old cable on to the new reel. If your confident wiring a plug, wiring this won't cause you too many issues. So far its exactly what I expected for the price point and it's doing the job it was intended for. Recommended.

Not the greatest quality but good value and does the job.
Needed to replace an old broken reel and reuse the cable. This one looked OK and reasonable price. Not the most robust, but looks good enough for domestic use if you don't throw it about. A bit fiddly to wire and as others have said, ' some instructions would help if you're not too confident with 'electrics' . Took 50m of cable comfortably. Fine so far.

Excellent replacement. Check precise requirements if you are needing PAT testing.
Really good product. Only buy this size if you really do need it for 50m of wire. I returned it because this was much bigger than I needed.
