After I received it, I tried it on; it ran a little bit small but I was still able to wear it, Overall comfort was good and I was able to move around all the places I need to move without it being baggy elsewhere. I put it in my backpack and forgot about it until last week when I found myself stranded away from home with a rainstorm between me and there. I broke out the rainwear and set out on my journey. Quality seemed to be good and it kept me as dry as can be expected. The fabric shed all the water and just a few drops found the few gaps that are just unavoidable on a motorcycle. At the price point, this seems to be a great set of rainwear for occasional or emergency use! Review: Good Features, but Sizing Is Way Off - The rain suit itself seems well made and has a lot of nice features, including fully waterproof material, sealed pockets and zippers, reflective strips, and a detachable hood. The fabric is lightweight but feels durable and designed to handle heavy rain, and I like that it includes shoe covers and a storage bag. Unfortunately, the fit did not work for me at all. I have an athletic build and normally wear a size Large but I ordered an XXL based on the sizing on the description and to wear the suit over clothing. Unfortunately the suit still did not fit correctly at all. The jacket was a bit baggier than I prefer, while the pants were uncomfortable tight and sat way too low on the waist. I have a 34 waist so I was very surprised that the pants were not much baggier on me than the jacket. Because of this mismatch in sizing, I won’t be able to use the set. Overall, the quality and features seem good, but the sizing is very confusing and inconsistent. I would strongly recommend paying close attention to the size chart and fit expectations before ordering, especially if you plan to wear this over other clothing or gear.

This is a quality rain suit buit for riders who log the miles regarless of weather.
Sulaite Rain Suit I needed to replace an aging rain suit, and hence I set out on my reconnaissance for a replacement. I am a firm believer in quality even at a premium when warranted. In the long run, this usual logic tends to present the better value. However, this comes with a caveat: premium costs don’t always equate with superior products, and vice versa. One must evaluate the essentials and weigh their inherent value for the operator. I set about my normal scouting with all the familiar top-branded suppliers. And I was impressed with many offerings, but I was not ready to pull the trigger just yet. And then I discovered the Sulaite-branded suit. It seemed to have all my required feature standards and more. So I ordered the item. When the item arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that I had actually underestimated the value. This is a great suit! The manufacturer has created that essential balance of providing full utility within a motorcyclist’s rain suit without making the item too heavy or too flimsy. It’s almost the Goldilocks of what I was seeking. First, the material is a light but pliable waterproof fabric. It breathes—just a bit. For me, material was the deal-breaking point. I did not want rubber or anything mimicking rubber. My next observation was the stitching. It is even and consistently double-stitched throughout the garment. I would prefer felled seams for a rain suit, but I haven’t located this seam type in decades. So double-stitch is an acceptable compromise. Then there was the lining. The manufacturer could not have added the full lining, and the suit would still function, although it wouldn’t be as comfortable. As heat builds in the suit, the lining allows the suit to still flow instead of sticking. So I thought, "These guys are on a run, yes?" Then I noticed the pièce de résistance: Sulaite added stitched boot covers and straps. Most who’ve logged many miles in the rain have come up with several hacks to keep your feet as dry as possible. Plastic bread bags inside of your boots but over wool socks are more or less a standard go-to. However, the more rain you can prevent from spilling into crevices, the drier the experience will be; adding these covers shields the boot’s topside, lace station, and entry point. The bootstraps keep it all in place. So all in all, I will say it's an impressive entry into this arena. In my area, we happen to be in the rainy season. So testing was immediate. The suit performs. Note, the suit runs small. The purchaser should definitely go up at least one size, and possibly two. I stand 5’10” and weigh 175 lbs. I normally wear a large-sized jacket and 32-33 trousers, but a medium-sized Joe Rocket motorcycle jacket. I ordered an extra-large under the forethought that more than likely I would deploy this rain suit 'over my standard cycle layering system'. The ordered extra large fits just about perfectly over the Joe Rocket medium jacket with full armor in place and armored pants. This fitting allows ample movement. However, I am aware that I am wearing the extra layer. My opinion is that it’s a great buy. The manufacturer seems to have taken pride in producing the product and pursues active quality control. I believe this system will withstand most common situations riders will throw at it. However, only time will reveal its durability. If any irregular catastrophic failures occur, I will update this review. But in the meantime, I am a happy clam. Or should I say dry clam? Ha! Pros: · Lightweight, tightly woven nylon · Incredibly light. The suit system weighs 1.6 lbs./.725 kg. · Both jacket and pants are mesh-lined. · Quality double-stitching throughout the garments · Waterproof main zipper enclosed within a Velcro-secured rain flap. · Adjustable sizing tabs at wrist and biceps · Boot coverings and boot straps are built into the trouser design. · Drawstring enclosures within the pant and jacket waist · System ships with mated dry bag. Cons: · The hood snaps are adequate but not super robust. · The hood is not large enough for a full-faced helmet. · Venting would have made the ensemble perfect. When these suits are worn, air doesn’t really enter or leave the system. This can cause temperature increases and sweating, so plan your layering system. · Suit runs smaller. Definitely go up one size, possibly 2.

Decent all around rain jacket - a solid performer - but the sizes seem to run small
As others have noted it does run a bit small. If you look at the sizing chart you can get some help but you might need to order a size up and see how it works for you. We are still using it because it is a useful rain jacket. The details on the jacket itself are nice and it does manage some light rain fine. Cheers

Quality material and construction made for riders, but the XL fits up to around 6' and maybe 190 lb.
I understand why another reviewer gave this jacket and pant set a low score - sizing is not typical American. I am 6' and maybe 180 lb, but ordered XL based on the sellers input. That was the correct size for me. In fact, if youre waist is more than 36" I doubt you'll get the pants on. The jacket is a nice fit, but over an armor jacket is likely a no go. Therefore, you'll have to look at this suit as an emergency when riding and the weather turns bad. This is not something you'd pull on over riding gear. The zipper is weather resistant, but you've also got full length velcro on the jacket to help repel water. Sleeves are almost long enough for me, but they do pull up some. I believe only gauntlet gloves will keep you covered. Expect a gap between the gloves and sleeves if you have longer arms, like me, and regular gloves. The pants are snug, but you dont want billowing pants while riding so I cannot criticize. However, the waist is small for a traditional XL. The surprising part of the pants is the elastic band at the bottom and boot cover. The band is intended to fit between the heel and sole keeping the pants and boot cover in place. I have big feet and do not expect these to cover all of my boots. However, it could work for many people and is a really nice feature at this price point. Material is nice and feels like fabric, not plastic. The jacket is comfortable with a very tall neck that is great for helmets on the bike. When zipped all the way up it is snug. Those with thick necks will be challenged. Overall, if you are a slim rider who doesnt exceed 6' and maybe up to 190lb, then it can be a great, affordable suit to keep in a top box or side case. If you are larger than that, it could be a disappointing purchase.
