EarlyGrow 93807 Domed Propagator, 2 Height Extenders, Green

I had debated about buying one of these for some time. I tried a few home grown setups using various clear plastic totes and containers with mixed results. After struggling with these setups I finally decided to get a nice unit made for the purpose. I needed one about this size (LxW) and I had not thought about one with sections to change the height, but that works out real well so I am glad I chose this model. The base is very strong so you can moved it around when loaded without it wanting to twist or bend so that is nice - not that you would move it a lot. It was real easy to assemble using the provided plastic nuts and bots and provided tool. I don't know how well they will hold up if you intend to break it down when not in use as it's made to disassemble for storage, but you could easily just replace the plastic hardware with stainless steel. The sections have a nice lip that extends down about a 1/4 in or more so each section is held firmly in place with the one below it. The top section is only an inch or so high so you can remove it easily to mist plants or add water, even if your lights are close to the cabinet. I have it on top of a heat mat too and using the provided vents am able to keep the temp around 80 degrees with no problem. It takes a little tweaking of the vents to get it right and I recommend a hygrometer to monitor the conditions inside. It was a bit pricey, but it's well made and should last a long time and it beats any homemade options I could come up with. If you're serious about starting seeds or clones, this a must have in my mind and this unit is probably one of the best you can get in my opinion.

The quality is exceptional; design/build/fit is perfect; ability to customize is a huge bonus; excellent transparency; no air leaks! This material is some heavy duty stuf … It doesn't bend AT ALL! The lid and extenders are beautifully clear, and the base is sturdy enough to hold FORTY pounds! The design is the best I’ve ever seen. The lid and extenders sit ON the lip - but the genius here is that it is designed more like an “h” than an “L” which allows all of the condensation to drip back INTO the box. All the pieces fit perfectly with no air leaks. And since there are no air leaks, I believe 100% humidity is achievable just because of how well this is designed. I simply love the ability to customize the height as your plants grow because (depending on what/how you’re growing) some simply need that kind of space. I can already tell this is going to be a game-changer for growing out my aquatic plants! I’ll be able to use this to convert my plants to their terrestrial form so I have “mother” plants all around the house for whenever I need some plants in a new aquarium. *** NOTE TO COMPANY: The *only* thing that could possibly be an improvement is to have a couple of GOOD grow-light strips mounted in/on the lid. I’ve seen the manufacturers of the cheapest flimsy propagators integrate lights, so I know you guys can!

This is a nice solid domed propagator. It has twist vents that allow you to control the humidity. The plastic is really thick and heavy duty. This is a nice set.

The materials are thicker than other cheaper domes. Assembly was simple enough. The air vents seem to seal well and allow adequate air flow adjustment. The lid section seems not to seal along the longest length when the material heats. DIY hack using metal clips held it in place to completely seal the edges. The ability to extend the height will hopefully prove useful. The adjustable vents allow pass through of small cables for probes like soil temp and/or humidity. Heat transfer from the pad through the base plastic to the soil is working fine. Having used other propagation domes before this one is my favorite. It looks slick. Feels quality and sturdy. It can also be disassembled for off season storage.

I have used this for years and it is durable, effective and easy to clean. Started all kinds of plants in it and they all germinated well and quickly. Definitely worth the extra money to buy the height extenders.

So much larger than i had expected it to be but wow is it amazing! My orange melanos weren’t doing as well without the added humidity and this really helped! The vents are good for airflow and it’s the proper size to add a heat mat if necessary.

I had no problems at all with condition at delivery or assembly. Assembly was very simple and straight forward; an eight year old would have no problem. Fit of every piece is perfect. Seems to be very sturdy and I expect it will last for years. It is perfect for those larger cuttings or seedlings and it is tall enough to act as a hospital or holding cell for small plants. Also it looks nice enough to act as a terrarium. I will probably get another. I do wish Amazon would make it easier to get another sidewall extension as I could see situations where I might want it even taller, but it is certainly tall enough for general cutting and seedling work.

La verdad es que el producto en sí es perfecto. MUY buenos materiales, se ve que son durables y que sirven para el largo plazo (se siente que fueron hechos para durar toda la vida). Lo único malo es el precio, muy caro, pero creo que lo valen (ya compré 2)…

I’m so impressed with the quality and design. Took 10 minutes to put together and I’m sure it will hold the humidity perfectly, plus there’s ample vents for control, and hardening off. Taking a photo as an after-thought. The case on the right is 30 years old (Lee Valley), and I think I paid close to $40. at that time. I’ve thrown away countless inferior models in the years since. This is of the same quality of materials. Thick plastic, but you can tell it won’t get brittle. I’m not sure I’ll ever use both extensions, as with only one it’s exactly the same height as the other (I like to have my lights practically sitting on the top of the case so nothing gets leggy). This one fits the light stand tray like a glove, while the other’s too big (they didn’t have these light stands back then). Long story short, I just ordered another one without the extra extension. I’ve waited a long time to finally replace the old one. I’ll pass it on to a beginner.

Very smart in comparison to my other trays! Well built and a useful height once extended, i expect this will last for many years.

Best progagator I have purchased and I have had a few. Good quality and sturdy made. No instructions but easy to work out and a walk through on u tube. Would highly recommend.
