Review: A Security Game Changer for Real People - This is a fantastic real-world guide to help anyone and everyone better protect themselves from today’s hackers and scammers. There’s a special focus on how the human aspect of playing on someone’s sympathy, fear, or greed can be a scammer’s best friend. So true! I hear stories weekly about people (mostly seniors) who receive a desperate plea for money from a grandchild’s text, etc. AI can make deep fakes as convincing as the real thing, and with today’s technology, it takes very little time or skill to do it. Combine that with the personal information people share on social media, and it’s no wonder scammers are more profitable and numerous than ever. I don’t want to give too much away, but I will tell you my favorite sections are The Human Firewall, Security Habits That Actually Matter, Family Digital Safety, Senior Safety, and what to do when things go wrong. There are plenty of real-world examples to see how these things can happen every day. If you happen to read this, please check out the “five-second rule.” This alone would have saved at least a quarter of the people I see victimized by scammers.
Review: Don't make fast decisions and trust your instincts - This book proved to be very valuable to me. First of all, it pointed out how approximately 95% of cyber security incidents were based on human interaction and error, not some sort of technical hacking. The author gave lots of unfortunate examples of how people have lost money simply because victims needed to ask themselves a few basic questions before sending money or information to strangers. Most of all, the “five-second rule” should always be employed, which are a series of questions that should always be addressed. And, I especially enjoyed the author’s warning about how teenagers are often targeted with a variety of traps and threats.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clear Cybersecurity for Different Groups
*by G***T on September 26, 2025*

This book delivers very well on the promise of its title. It is clearly written and effective, because it segments its target audiences into useful groups with differing cybersecurity needs. I particularly liked that it not only described different preventive measures for each group, but also gave counseling about dealing with the aftermath of a difficult incident.
