World's finest, healthiest, and best treats for your fur-baby
World's finest, healthiest, and best treats for your fur-baby. Kippling and Sable (my two Bombay cats) get these whenever I have to do anything unpleasant to them, like cut their nails, give them a bath, or use the flea medicine. Plus, they love just having them as treats and between-feeding-time snacks.. They are 100% real chicken meat that has been freeze-dried so there is NO SMELL at all that I can tell, which is really nice when you consider that horrible fishy-smelling stench some cat treats give off. My younger cat particularly loves the crunch and will jump up in the air to catch one even if I toss it half-way across the room! I've been giving these to both of my kitties for over 7 years now. The cats and I are all dedicated and happy return-customers. I like buying them on Amazon because you can usually get a better deal buying in bulk. I open a new container about every 10 days so buying them 6 at a time gives me a 2 month supply, plus being able to beat the $11.00 per container price at Whole Foods is a joy all of its own. Note: I realize Amazon now owns Whole Foods, but the treats are shipped to me from outside suppliers, not Amazon itself. I will continue to buy them here online unless Amazon decides to lower the prices charged at my local Whole Foods. Call me cynical, but I really don't see that happening anytime soon...

It's like crack for both dogs & cats.
I guess I ordered the product for dogs this time. I usually get the cat ones. Either way, my cats & dog loves this treat & I feel good about it since all I am giving them is a dried fish. They go crazy for it. The only downside is that towards the bottom of the bag it dust, which I then use as a topper treat over their food.

My picky cats love em!
My cats are super picky, but they love these! They're freeze-dried, but not super hard. They're soft enough to be broken into smaller pieces if needed. Chicken flavored.

Excellent Quality, but I wish they would go back to the plastic bottle packaging
Pure.freeze dried chicken. Excellent quality, but they get very broken up in the new plastic packaging which makes for a lot of wasted treat opportunity and instead need to use at least a 1/4 of the package just as a food topping. Since we buy it for treats, we will be looking for a new brand.

Disappointment with Inconsistent Quality
I have had a long-standing relationship with these freeze-dried chicken treats, having been a loyal customer due to their initially high quality and my cat's fondness for them. However, over time, I noticed a significant decline in the product's consistency, which led me to stop purchasing them altogether. When I recently noticed a change in packaging, I was hopeful that this signaled an improvement in quality and decided to give them another try. Initially, I was pleased to find the chicken cubes to be white, with a pleasant aroma, reminiscent of their original quality. My cat immediately took to them, which was a delightful turnaround. Encouraged by this positive experience, I purchased two additional packs, expecting the same high-quality treats. Unfortunately, the contents of these packs were markedly different. The chicken cubes had an off-putting yellow or brown hue and emitted an unpleasant smell, a stark contrast to the previous pack. This inconsistency was not only disappointing but also concerning, as it suggested poor quality control from the manufacturer. Most distressingly, my cat, who had enjoyed the first pack of the newly packaged treats, outright refused to eat the ones from these subsequent packs. This experience has led to a profound sense of disappointment and frustration. It is disheartening to witness a brand that once offered a product my cat loved deteriorate in quality to the point of being unacceptable. The lack of consistency and apparent disregard for maintaining a standard of quality raises serious concerns about the brand's commitment to its customers and their pets.

"You Complete Me"
A brief glimpse into the world of Cinnamon, the Chihuahua Princess of Midtown Manhattan: "My Daddy not only does all the typing for me (I'm preserving a manicure, naturally), he also caters to my desire for home-cooked meals. I know, I know: whatever complaints may thus ensue about me being spoiled and finicky are completely his fault, but Daddy knew that when he decided that both nutritionally and economically (not to mention emotionally) this worked out best for both of us. That said, I've lately become a bit fussy -- even when it comes to really, really good meals like freshly cooked pork or beef or chicken with the vegetables that Dad insists I eat. You might understand if I were to turn my cute little nose up at, say, Alpo... or even Grade-B ground beef; but I'm summarily rejecting the good stuff that my old man tastes and actually enjoys as he's preparing it for me. I think it's a phase, because I feel just fine, but I'm trying this whole new "I am not amused or pleased" routine to see how far it'll get me with him. I'm holding out for a mink hoodie and a pony to ride in the country this summer." OK, now on to Dad's own story: "I saw these on Amazon as I was searching for the desiccated beef treats my girl likes. These were about a third the price and one of the few brands in the price range that was actually just MEAT and not some sort of dehydrated hodgepodge of gunk. I figured I'd give them a shot. I opened the container when they were delivered, and tasted it myself after reading the ingredients (which are "chicken" and "marinade", basically). Dried chicken. What's not to approve? The princess was given a piece. She turned her nose up at it and returned to her faux-nap. But as soon as I'd turned my back I heard the chewing and within moments she was at my feet looking for more. I was still waiting for her to eat the plate of delicious food I'd slaved over an hour or so earlier, so I wasn't giving in. Test complete. Treats would be saved for a time when they were actually deserved. And then I read the label as I pretended not to notice her neediness. "...as a tasty incentive at mealtime." Hmm... I took out another chunk, crumbled it on her food, and watched as she sniffed, licked, walked away, reconsidered, and returned to the scene of what she HAD considered my culinary crime. Incentive indeed. Her plate was clean about two minutes later. She was fed, I was vilified, and these chicken treats elevated in both our opinions to the level of 'Heroic.'" From both Cinnamon and Daddy; "Thank You, Halo Liv-A-Littles."

Cats love them and the quality of the product is superb.
I have been using Halo products with my three cats since they were kittens, coupled with The Honest Kitchen. They are healthy, have beautiful black shiny coats and their poop doesn't really smell all that bad. These treats, they go insane over them. I really hate when people give a product a bad review because their cat doesn't like them. That really isn't a testament to the quality of the product, but that their cat is a finicky eater. The ingredients quality is evident when you can see how healthy it makes your pets just feeding them the products. I also had some of their food tested in an independent lab when I first started using their food, as with all "boutique" pet foods sometimes quality control isn't the best. But not with Halo. These people truly are passionate about their mission to bring quality pet products that are nutritious, healthy and all around top quality. Vets suggest that you feed your pets a variety of foods to make sure they are getting all the nutrition they need, which that is why I couple this food with The Honest Kitchen dehydrated wet. Another fantastic product and together with the Halo products, you can't go wrong. I will be getting more of these for sure.
