Nice jeans - but beware of VANITY SIZING!
Nice jeans, fit well, wear well, comfortable. Great price. My only complaint is the 'vanity sizing' - different Wrangler jeans must use different rulers to measure the waist. I'm attaching a picture of two pairs I just received - one is relaxed fit 42 waist, the other is loose fit 40 waist. See the difference? Me neither. So, once you have the right size, you're good to go - but don't assume that because this style fits, that other styles of Wrangler jeans will share the same measurements. These two pair fit me the same in the waist - the legs are a little looser on the 'loose fit' jeans, as I expected. Again, I like them both, this isn't the first time I've ordered them, but it is the first time I ordered two different sizes, based on past experience.

Best Jeans of All Time...
Many years ago, I found a pair of Wranglers Loose Fit Jeans from a store. They were my all time favorite pants. I wore them almost every day. A few months ago, a huge hole appeared in the leg area. Now, I'm not one of the band members from Def Leppard, and holes in jeans just aren't cool. I went back to the store, and found they don't carry the Loose Fit Jeans anymore! They have regular fit, but the material is too thick and the pockets are very constrictive. Thank God for Amazon! These are the exact jeans I loved so much but BRAND NEW!!!The material is a little thinner than the regular fit, making it feel more cloth like which I love. I can fit my hands in the pockets very easily, unlike most jeans. These are the most comfortable jeans by far. Highly recommend.

The spiritual successor to the Levi 569?
After many months of discomfort in my manly area on "Jeans Day" at work, I believe that I have found the solution. For probably 10 years I've enjoyed Levi 569's, they were thick material, were not low cut and offered adequate room in the nether regions. This all changed about a year ago. I ordered another pair of 569's in my size only to discover that Levi had changed the cut. It was now some metrosexual boy jean wearing hipsters idea of what jeans should be. Obviously this upset me so I went to the Amazon reviews. Many reviews mentioned these loose fit Wrangler's as being the alternative that you are looking for. I scoffed at the idea that the Walmart specials that we have all known as 'stranglers' would some how be better than the trusty 569. Pride was swallowed and my mind looked past the Brett Favre and Jeff Gordon advertisements of touch football and lager beer in the backyard. The color I chose was indigo, and the size was 38x30 (I got some junk in the trunk). This indigo color is modern enough that they don't look like sky color faded wranglers that you imagine all Wrangler's to look like. The fit is a little tighter in the derreire and wedding tackle than the old style 569. I think that going one size too large in the waist may have given me a bit more space for comfort, but would require really cinching up my belt.Overall these are a decent replacement. The only reason I am rated these 4 stars is due to my expectation of a carbon copy of the old Levi 569. The pockets are smaller and it has one of those really lame tags where the belt loops underneath, so 4 stars will do.

because I didn't want IT to feel comfortable. (if that makes any sense) The smaller size ...
I purposely ordered one size smaller because of my goal. I did not want to buy the correct size (42W), because I didn't want IT to feel comfortable. (if that makes any sense) The smaller size (40W) is a little snug around the waist and hips now, so that will give a good goal to shoot for when I start my crossfit training. Once it fits just right, then I know I'm on the right track. Once it fits too loose, then I'll be going down in size. My ultimate goal is 36W, but my friends have doubts, since I'm kinda medium to big boned. I like to prove people wrong. The jeans itself has a better, soft, comfortable feel to it than other jeans I've had. Glad I bought these. So I'll give it a five, only because it has the comfortable feel and I know it will fit good soon, but I just didn't want to go up in size.

Nice, but not what I expected
Long time Wrangler's owner but I hadn't bought any new pairs in a few years. I expected the same type of material I used to buy, but this is much thinner, with a visible weave pattern. I guess it's the style now (don't care much for it myself) and it's not bad comfort-wise, but I'm probably going to try to find jeans constructed of the same old durable denim I've bought for decades next time.Giving them a 5 star, there's nothing wrong with them, they fit good and look ok (everything is where it's supposed to be and lines are neat). Only problem is they're not really my style, can't fault Wrangler for that.

Perfect if you want to pretend you still fit into a certain smaller size...
Perfect if you want to pretend you still fit into a certain size... Otherwise - just get a bigger size.. I wear 34 waist but had gained some weight... I make it a point not to get a bigger size than 34 so that I force myself to lose weight. (this works for me)I normally wear Wrangler "Relaxed Fit Premium" in 34 waist. Those had gotten a bit tight as I've gained weight recently. So then recently I bought a pair of these "Loose Fit" Wranglers in 34.. Wow - they fit great! So, I guess I'm back to a 34 waist right? Nope.. Comparing these to Wrangler "Relaxed Fit" these "Loose Fit" are a good 1.5" bigger around the waist.. Not much different otherwise - just a bigger size overall..Let's put it this way - HAD they been the same size waist as the "Relaxed FIt" but were looser in the seat & thigh - that would have been great! But, when they're just bigger overall, then what's the point? Who's kidding who? I returned them rather than what was truly just kidding myself.

SURPRISE!! SURPRISE!! (Jeans in picture are relaxed fit not loose fit)
As much as I hoped to hate these jeans, I just couldn't. These jeans fit and feel perfect. I am normally a wearer of baggy fit jeans but with age the baggyness of my silvertabs just look silly on me. Yes these are not your Grand Daddy's or Daddy's Wranglers and they aren't meant to be. These are meant to be much looser hence the name. The jeans in the picture are relaxed fit not loose fit, so if that's the fit you want order accordingly. I never thought I would buy a pair of Wranglers in my life but I took a chance because the other reviews complained they were too baggy. Another plus is the opening at the bottom is actually small enough not to swallow tennis shoes and big enough to also accommodate boots. I was very pleasantly surprised with the fit and will definitely be buying more of these.

Wrangler Men's Genuine Loose Fit Jean
For the last 10 years I've been wearing the Lee brand loose fit jeans, and for me they were the best jeans I've ever worn. Sadly, everything has changed since then, and the closest I've been able to come to that in a lower waist, high-rise, straight leg w/18" opening at the cuff, loose fit in the thigh-but-still-form-fitting-in-the-seat jean with something that resembles a stone washed blue (not green or obviously bleached on the thighs) are these Wrangler jeans. The material is softer and not as thick, which means that you can't wear them for the third day without the knees and seat looking a little baggy/stretched out. I also bought a pair of Carhartt jeans which fit very well and are made from the heaviest blue jean material currently available at any price (15oz), whose construction is absolutely amazing, and can be worn for 4 straight days and still look good. Still, they only come in old-school navy blue, and it's that stone washed color I love. The fit on these jeans satisfies my need for lower-waisted and higher rise, but they're not straight legged and flair slightly at the bottom, without being true bell-bottoms. Also, while they are 'loose-ish', the thighs aren't nearly as loose as my old Lee jeans. I do like the fact that they come in 1" increments for both the waist and the inseams, allowing me to order 34x29, admittedly an odd size. I have already bought a second pair and found the cut and sizing to be consistent, so obviously they're doing something right. Nice jeans for now, but still looking for the perfect fit and finish.

Precise fitting but buyers should note that that jean tends to stretch too much than expected due to spandex or whatever.....
