It fit perfectly in my 13 year old KitchenAid dishwasher. One of the rollers had broken off. We found an installation video on YouTube and it helped my husband install the part. Now the upper rack easily rolls on and out. So happy!!! Didn’t want to buy a new dishwasher! Great value for the money.

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher from 2011 and have replaced this part numerous times with other non-OEM parts. The material here seems pretty solid and the new design with the wheels/rollers attached with screws is a big upgrade from the OEM part and the previous versions I have installed (the clips/spindles holding the rollers has always been the cause of my repairs). Some reviews have mentioned that their original wheels/rollers are a different size (larger at 1.25") than the ones here (0.9"), but these matched the 0.9" ones on my old dishwasher exactly and work just fine.

This part is well made, and will certainly last longer than the oem part that broke in my dishwasher. The wheels are connected to the housing with a screw and cap, so the wheel cannot break off unless the whole part breaks. The wheels this part came with were not the correct size to fit my specific model of dishwasher (Amazon said it would), so I had to use the old wheels from the broken part being replaced. I also had to bore the holes in said wheels slightly wider to fit on this replacement part. Despite that difficulty, it is now installed and working great. Time will tell if it holds up better than the original part, but I think it will.

A note from another reviewer mentioned the wheels were too small so I saved my original dishwasher rack wheels from the broken part. the reviewer was right for my Sears Kenmore dishwasher. This part had the axle break on my original dishwasher (3-4 years old). The old wheels fit right into this piece, no problems. Dishwasher rack is like new again. I hope it lasts longer than the original. Everything these days is made as throw away, nothing lasts like the old days.

Fairly easy to install, has held up well so far (it’s been about a month). Very happy we didn’t need to hire a repairman or replace the whole dishwasher.

This is the third time I have purchased this product. My first was April, 2018, second was July 2018 and third was July 2019 (I actually got a year out of that one!). My original top loading dishwasher part broke because my toddler was hanging on it, resulting in the front wheel to snap off. I purchased the replacement and it broke very soon- about a week later. The plastic that held the wheel in place snapped- just like the original break. I was able to still place the wheel in and use it, the wheel just wasn’t secure like before and slid out often. I continued to use it like that, assuming my toddler broke it again and didn’t order a replacement until I knew my toddler knew for sure that the dishwasher wasn’t a toy. By using it broken I also developed the habit of babying my washer and only putting top rack only or light plastic kids cups on it. No glass items. Nothing heavy, and I would fill up the side of the top rack with the original unbroken piece in it first. When I bought the second one I was really peeved that it broke after about 4 months of my gentle use. My kids had learned to walk around the dishwasher like it had the plague and knew not to touch it unless putting clean dishes away. Around this time I injured my wrist and had to switch my family to using paper plates and bowls, as doing dishes became painful to me. I went from running the washer nearly daily to 2 times a week. I think this is why the second replacement part lasted a whole year, it wasn’t because it was better, I just dealt with it and ran the dishwasher less. My husband finally did the dishes, without my aid in placing the items in, and the top rack side wheel slipped out. He was surprised I limped it along without his knowledge (as he had forgotten I complained about the washer being broken again several months earlier). When he went to take the part out for examination, he barely touched the one connected working wheel and it fell out, broken. When we got the new replacement (#3), it looks identical to the original side; Aside from the wheels being white, as the first two replacements were, instead of grey like the original. When he took off the broken one and held it up to the original that came with the washer, however, we noticed that there were cracks everywhere on the part and the plastic look like it was decomposing (smoothed down edges from water hitting it, discolored white, weak everywhere- even in reinforced areas, snapped in half with very little effort). The original part looks like time has not ever aged it and will last for many years yet. Our opinion is that this item is made from a cheaper plastic that is not meant for the heat of the water that the dishwasher runs constantly. There are so many items that say “dishwasher safe” but will melt a little more each time you wash them. This item is made from that type of plastic. It was not a part made to last the life of the dishwasher. It is a easy part to replace and takes all of 5 minutes to do so. It fits perfectly. Apart from the wheels being white, it is identical to my original piece. It will last a few months as a band aid to the dishwasher. I suppose that is why I gave it a 2 star review. I do not recommend this product, however, I haven’t done the research to find a better one yet, and IF I do buy this again, it will only be until I find a high quality part to replace it. So if you buy this item, know that it is not a permanent fix.

After trying several other aftermarket replacements for my Kenmore dishwasher rack, I finally ordered this item. Eureka! While the others failed within days, this has soldiered on for several months. It doesn't look as durable as some of the others, but believe me, it is. Thanks for building a rack adjuster and roller system that lasts! I'll be back.

The new updated version 09/2020, with bolts that hold the wheels on has to be modified for the larger wheels on the Kenmore models. I used a dremel tool to grind down the shafts to fit the old wheels. Much stronger upgrade with the shafts and bolts.
