I've had a history of "trigger finger" and want to prevent any future surgeries as my last one was very painful, so when I requested this thumb brace it was to use when I'm typing so that I could be pro-active. Yes, this works wonderful for me and prevents the pain I would get at times when typing all day long. No more pain while using this thumb brace and I'm so completely satisfied.

I hit my thumb in my car door. Pretty sure nothing's broken, because it doesn't hurt, but it started kind of clicking when I bend it. The internet says it's probably a ligament issue (I know, go to a doctor) but I thought I'd try this first. I mean, what are they going to do other than give me a splint anyway? The metal ones are great. They are sturdy and surprisingly comfortable. A little hard to put on by myself, but it's doable. What I really like is the black velcro one they also included. This one is much easier to wear to work and still type. If you don't need the tip of your thumb covered, this is a great option. I've been sleeping with it on, it's that comfortable. And unlike my hand braces, it doesn't make my hand go numb. I've velcro-ed and unvelcro-ed these multiple times over the last week, and they're still working. These are great.

These thumb braces work very well and give you some decent support- especially for people who suffer from arthritis. The foam lining makes them comfortable to wear, and the Velcro closures can be adjusted to your comfort level. Surprisingly, they are very easy to apply to your thumb. Now with all the "pros" they offer, they are a bit invasive and limit your mobility. I found while trying to do a simple household chore (emptying the trash or sorting the laundry) they will slide around. Not the best on the market but they are not the worst either. One other thing, I don't think these are a "one size fits all". I don't think these would fit a larger hand.

The Velcro is very strong on these 2 pack of thumb braces. Each one is very lightweight (.2 oz) and very easy to use. They offer protection while using and from anything that can bump into your thumb causing more injury. Each one measures just over 2”. The Velcro is just over 5 1/2” long, making it easy to secure. * I received 2 extra bonuses in my box. The first is one for a finger brace that looks like the other 2 but having an additional Velcro strap. The second bonus is a cushioned fabric bandage with 2 Velcro enclosures attached.

When an extremity is sprained or strained, you need to allow it to rest in place. Whether it is a tendon, a muscle, or just plain fatigue, these splints offer support for your fingers when they need to rest, but in proper alignment. I have experienced some pretty intense joint pain in the past, and when I tried these splints on, they reminded me of many of the other supportive products on the market, that had worked for me. I noticed immediately that my finger felt warmer, and that when it was not moving, it did not trigger further sensations up in the rest of my hand, wrist and shoulder. So yes, this is an effective product. Use according to advice by a professional.
