This MarsWork matte lilac PLA filament ended up being one of those “load it and forget it” materials—in a good way. Right away, the color is what grabs you. The soft lilac purple has a really clean, modern matte finish that gives prints a premium look. Matte PLA in general helps hide layer lines and reduce shine, which makes finished prints look smoother and more professional. Performance-wise, it’s very easy to print with. PLA is already known for being beginner-friendly and low-warping, and this one follows that reputation. I had consistent extrusion, minimal stringing, and solid layer adhesion without needing to constantly tweak settings. One of the standout features is the quick-swap reusable spool system. Instead of dealing with bulky disposable spools, this refill-style setup: * Saves space * Cuts down on plastic waste * Makes swapping filament faster once you get used to it That said, if you’ve never used a refill spool before, there’s a slight learning curve the first time installing it. The filament itself is also well-wound and consistent, which helps avoid tangles and keeps prints running smoothly—something that’s more important than it sounds when you’re doing longer jobs. I normally only use Bambu Official PLA, and I prefer printing in Bambu PLA Matte Black (they call it Charcoal). I was down to my last half roll, a lot of printing to do, I had lost track and not ordered more which is on me. I knew within 48 hours minimum that roll would be toast so I went to order more. Bambu was sold out. Found it on other after market sites but it was full retail, no free shipping, and would take 3-5 business days to arrive. Saw this on amazon, read some reviews, why not give it a try? The next day some new rolls arrived, same day that half roll was toast. Starting printing using this "MarsWork PLA Matte Black". First I did go ahead and order with the spool just to see how their design worked, and it works great, quite a bit better than the Bambu spool to be honest. No RFID is annoying but hardly a big deal, MarsWork literally says just call it Bambu Filament and it will work, ok. Other than the spool clearly being a slightly different design, visually, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between this and Bambu Matte Black. So set it to Matte Black in the slicer, did some prints on my Bambu P1S. Well you saw the rating already so spoiler alert, it printed flawlessly. It is matte, it is black, the color is good. The only issue is it is very slightly lighter in color than Bambu Matte Black. I paint my prints so at the end of the day this is not a problem for me. It may make an extremely small difference in finished color tone but it will be small. The PLA is also a teensy bit shinier than Bambu Matte PLA, it is still Matte though make no mistake. So... nicer spool with a great locking mechanism. Yes, just setting it to Bambu Matte and correct color worked with no further tweaks. Print quality was great, zero print issues. Oh it also costs less than a Bambu refill even if you buy it with a spool.... and without... heh.... Also amazon prime free shipping and it was next day, to say that beats what you get from Bambu direct is an understatement and a half. Yeah I think I will be switching my filament provider.

Prints exactly like Bambu Lab filament, I've tried matte black and basic indigo purple so far, the purple was an exact match to BL's as well. I've tried Sunlu matte black and get a weird blotchy top surface on my prints that is mixed matte/glossy, but not with this filament. It prints perfectly matte all the way through just like BL filament. The spool is nice as well, being able to strap and switch out partial rolls is very convenient as I buy a lot of refills.

This filament prints great when you have a good spool of it. In my last order the gray and the white have spots where the filament looks incomplete or worn down. Best case scenario is the AMS unit won't be able to feed it into the printer. Worst case scenario is breaks off during the printing process and you lose your print and have to take a lot of tubes apart to figure out where the break happened and fish all the filament out of your printer manually. The fact that it's two different colors tells me this is more than just a one off issue. I like the finished print product but not the inconsistency in quality. You can see a couple of the spots in the pictures. I didn't save the other examples of it happening on the spools but it is not just at the beginning of it. It's at several points throughout. I was using this filament VERY frequently. I have a lot stocked up and once I'm done with that I will probably be switching.

This is the first time ordering this brand of filament and I was pleasantly surprised. The color selections they have is awesome and the print quality is amazing. I used a generic PLA matte profile in my Qidi MAX4 and the prints came out wonderfully. I ordered refill spools and they are great, no problem at all using them on my empty SUNLU spools and they are would really nicely. I will definitely be ordering more of this in the future.

If you don't mind the two extra seconds it takes to manually select your filament type in the slicer, there is zero reason to pay the premium for the RFID-tagged version.

This was my second foray into MarsWork filament and it was just as good as the first one. The orange is a nice enough colour and it printed through the AMS fine. It is also a refill, so something you’d need to pay attention to if purchased in a hurry. My test print came out fine with no issues of adhesion or stringing. I would purchase this brand again as I have had no issues and the colours are pretty good. I have never dried a spool of filament, so it was used as is straight out of the packet. ~This is an Amazon Vine product. All opinions are my own~

I needed a solid, reliable spool for general 3D printing around the workshop, and this material has performed exactly as expected. The spool is hefty, which is a great value for keeping the printer running. The colour is vibrant and consistent throughout the entire roll, making the finished prints look sharp and clean. I had absolutely no issues with the filament itself; it extruded smoothly at standard temperatures, demonstrated excellent layer adhesion, and did not suffer from any noticeable stringing or clogging during long prints. PLA is the material I use most often for prototypes and simple household items, and this brand proved very dependable. If you need a trustworthy, high-quality, and easy-to-use material for consistent daily printing, this filament is great.

Lo bueno: El carrete es reutilizable, bonito, y practico. Viene con sujetadores de velcro para poner respuestos/cambio de carrete. Lo malo: Es un filamento de calidad media/baja. El terminado se ve bonito pero la consistencia de impresion y calidad no es buena. Probado en una H2D nozzle 0.4/acero reforzado/flujo estandar. Intente con varios perfiles (incluyendo supuestamente el Bambu PLA Matte) y en todos acumulaba residuos en los nozzles y generaba defectos. Recalibre la impresora antes de cada intento, y nada. Como mera percepcion, este material me parecio fragil que un PLA estandar. -- No tengo datos para respaldar mi dicho -- Es mera experiencia. Recomendacion: Es mas facil y limpio imprimir con un Rapid PETG de Elegoo o un Sunlu High Speed PETG (Excelelentes calidades y velocidades a menor precio) que con este material. El punto de PLA es que es supuestamente mas facil. Ahora tengo 10 kilos de este material que tal vez jamas voy a utilizar y que solo esta tomando espacio. En conclusion: Excelente presentacion, pero mediocre o mal performance.
