Not at all what I expected. I could barely get the cylindrical shipping container open before the smell became unbearable and was extremely difficult to wash off my hands. The odor I was greeted to inside the case was more of a cheap "old lady" perfume (not a hint of sandalwood) that was strong enough to stop a freight train. UPDATE: About 3 weeks ago, I received a package from Amazon and was surprised to find another bottle of the sandalwood essential oil. This time, I was very pleased to open it and smell REAL sandalwood! I'm not sure if the first one I received was just a single bad one or part of a bad batch, but by sending me an unsolicited replacement at no cost, Alphrodith has made things right. It's true you only get one shot at a first impression, but doing the right thing leaves a lasting impression.

Seller responded pretty quickly .. verifying this oil is from India and steem distilled. It smells strong and legit.i am satisfied

I purchased this to test out for making Eau de Parfum. For the price, it's pretty good, although the price alone says it's not undiluted, 100% pure santalum album EO (I wasn't exactly expecting it to be). The scent is very pleasant, but very weak until the dry down. Once it blooms, it's warm, woody, and creamy with a somewhat subdued projection. It's also not very thick for a 100% pure, undiluted santalum album EO. My guess is it has been diluted with another oil, or stretched with another EO, leaning more towards the former. Not bad, and good for the price, even though the description seems somewhat deceptive. I'll see how well it does in some of my Eau de Parfum mixtures before I say I'd buy it again.

This is better than expected. I dab it directly on skin then put Rose absolute essential oil on top. It , for unknown reasons, sends me into a beautiful sleep. I was a distributor for one of the essential oil companies in the U.S. for a few years . I was disillusioned that 1. I was spending hundreds of dollars every month and for the money they should ALL be organic 2. As a distributor they expected a commitment to use this as a business . 3. They were really into it for the hustle Finally gout a UK place that sells ONLY organic essential oils and dropped out as a great distributor . So when I say this small s very good, it’s from one who’s studied E.O’s, purchased from different sources, etc. ~ you’ll like it. Makes for a good base with lots of other essential oils...or wear alone. The smell of Sandalwood can varying from region to region of where it’s raised , etc. I like 👍🏼 this one as well as others!

I absolutely love this blend of sandalwood. It is extremely fragrant and enveloping. I use it in my diffuser at night, and I believe that my quality of sleep has improved. My bedroom now has a permanent hint of sandalwood, and whenever I come home from work and enter my bed room, I recognize the familiar aroma and, somehow it puts a smile on my face. I started using sandalwood a few months ago, after I saw it on sale at a depot type store. Previously, I only used lavender. Well, this brand is absolutely superior to the cheap one that I had tested. I didn’t realize, until trying this version, that sandalwood is reminiscent of a unisex cologne, except it is never overbearing, and it is calming. Second, I’d say that sandalwood trumps lavender, but I still mix them anyway. I will definitely rebuy this product from this seller.

I love the scent of sandalwood and want a pure oil to use as a fragrance in lieu of perfume. The bottle was packaged beautifully, but when I opened it and tapped a couple of drops on my wrists there was hardly any scent at all. Very disappointing. I have never experienced sandalwood oil like this so I was completely taken by surprise. I understand that it was not as pricey as some sandalwood oils I could have purchased, but because I have experienced beautiful fragrances from other lower priced sandalwood oils (I wish I could remember the brands now because I would have ordered them) I expected a product that touted itself as premium grade, pure sandalwood oil to, at the very least, have the wonderful scent that is common to every other sandalwood oil I have ever sampled.

Not the scent I expected. If you're looking for the scent you get from sandalwood incense, this isn't it. That being said, this doesn't smell awful. It's like something woody, but not quite what I wanted. The scent is pretty weak, though. I mixed it with a bit of cedar and the sandalwood was completely overpowered, no matter the ratio. I still use it without any other scents as a laundry freshener (since we use unscented laundry detergent), and it's not bad for that. It's not bad enough to return, but I probably wouldn't buy this again. Either spend more on a better quality, or stick with incense.

Real sandalwood essence oil, I use it on my sandalwood comb to refresh the wood & scent. It has a lot of other uses too, no one ever thinks of: just a little on a soft cotton pad wiped over (real) wood furniture will create a beautiful shine & nourish the wood. Only a few drops are necessary. ONLY do this with authentic sandalwood essence oil. And your rooms will smell lovely, too.

Not sure is that the smell of tea tree... is not a nice smell to me
