๐งฑ Reinforce your concrete game with basalt power โ build stronger, last longer!
Basalt Chopped Fibers are ultra-fine (17 microns) reinforcement strands designed to boost tensile strength and reduce cracking in concrete and polymer mixes. Ideal for GFRC and decorative concrete, these fibers offer superior chemical resistance compared to traditional glass fibers, making them perfect for demanding environments like bridges and shoreline structures. Recommended dosage ranges from 6-8 pounds per cubic yard, balancing strength and workability for professional-grade durability.

Seems to be helping reduce hairline cracks in ferro-cement
I got this as an additive for making non-ferrous ferrocement. I am still just experimenting at this point, but this does seem to help reduce cracking. It is very challenging to keep thin applications of mortar moist while it cures, especially when it is in direct sun in the summer, so in theory the added fiber should help keep it from shrinking quite so much.

Thin 1โ slab that held super well with vehicle traffic!
This stuff works. It makes a messy slab when wet, but a clean solid one once dry!
