It’s hard to call these heavy duty.
Are these curtain rod holders? Yes they are. They are decided to be pretty easy to install and they will fit larger sized rods. However, to call them heavy duty is a bit of a stretch. I have a very large window that I had gotten them for, planning to get a rod and black out curtains. The metal is not particularly strong or solid or resistant to bending. It would require more than just the 2 to support a long and heavier rod and I don’t feel as though they would be sturdy enough to support the weight of heavier curtains. These would probably best be used for thin drapes or the half curtains often used in kitchen windows. I would definitely not trust adhesive to hold a rod that is supporting anything more than shears or light fabric. That being said, they are pretty inexpensive and they would work for many projects. If they didn’t claim to be "heavy duty" I would have been very comfortable rating them with higher stars because they will accommodate different styles of curtain rods, I would just suggest sticking to shorter rods and/or thinner and lighter fabrics. Although with a shorter rod they could likely handle all kinds of fabrics.
