I am impressed with what I have seen thus far. - The books written by John Mueller et al are very easy to read and are great primers for budding Python Data Analytics/Data Scientists. I look forward to finishing this, my second book from John on Python Programming and will look forward to any future titles that he writes on this subject. Review: Don't expect to learn anything but you will have downloaded lots of stuff - I bought this because the Data Science Bootcamp was / is just a little bit too tough going (what did I expect?!) and I wanted to learn with a few more gentle examples and explanations before stampeding towards the hard-core Data Science. Therefore I ordered this to ease me into Data Science with Python. The book is very liberally padded with very little information about DS. You have to get to the page 100 and something before data is even mentioned in the context of analysing it. Also, it has the hallmark of an amateur who doesn't really know what they're doing or talking about stamped all over it. Forget about the endless URLs where you can download all sorts of IDEs or DS frameworks. Gloss over where, before downloading a piece of software for the Mac you are told to read the Terms and Conditions "...to make sure you understand them" Ignore the fact that PyCharm (only one of the most used Python IDEs in the World) is never mentioned. Whenever a programming book gives example of tables that are pitifully small, hard-coded and contain data such as 'Apples', 'Pears' 'Oranges' 'Bananas', you know you are in the hands of an amateur. Nobody in the history of professional data science has every hard-coded a 6x6 dimensioned table containing a list of 4 fruits for them to use that list to use it and obtain meaningful results. Nobody. Ever. Don't waste your money buying this bilge or your time when you have to send it back - But desertcart make that part of the process very simple.

It's one of the best book if you are starting from scratch and want to become like a Pro. It's for everyone whether you may be a student / professor / an employee.

Excellent book. Lots of examples and good explanation in relation to the codes and results. However, it is necessary to explain the inputs when using database from the libraries (e.g. load_digits, boston_data) when they are presented at first time. The chapter of clustering very confuse, it is necessary to start with small examples. The book should have colours and better quality of paper, but for the price is fair enough.
