Replacement Battery SNYSAC5 Compatible with Sony Xperia 1 III XQ-BC72 XQBC62/B 5G with Tools

The battery came with tools. Battery removal and installation is straightforward. There are 7 small screws. The rest is just lifting and prying. There are videos on the Internet that help but they go into much more than you need to know. It is only necessary to remove the top board held on with the 7 screws. The adhesive on the old battery is tenacious. Just take your time and pry firmly. I had a thin metal tool that worked well for this. Total repair time was 30 minutes. Powered it up and phone showed 50% charge and all functions work.

Since the day I got this replacement in November of 2025, I replaced the original Sony battery which has run last five years until it ran out of juice. So I'd expect this new replacement battery would fair at least in a year or next couples years. In my surprise, this new replacement battery only worked as expect in first two months - e.g, charge and discharge as if it behaved like the original battery. Then it went down hill since January 2026 when I noticed the battery charge doesn't hold charge even without usage, in less than half day after charge, 40% would vaporize. Is this a really a new battery, why would it perform this bad? I've requested seller for a replacement and hope for the best.

There were zero tools included unlike what was advertised, which makes installing the battery more difficult. The battery is otherwise good so far, but this does impact the experience a bit.

I got this to replace the battery in my Sony Xperia 1 III. I was able to take it to UBREAKIFIX and they swapped it out for about $80. Was really hot at first but works great!
