ZWILLING Contemporary Steak Knife Set of 8, Oval handle, Stainless Steel, with 12" x 10" case

I bought these steak knives because they appeared to be nicely made and they were silver to better sit beside my wife's silverware on the dinner table. I was pleasantly surprised that i was right on both counts. First of all, my wife loved who they looked on the table. They are really nice looking. Also, they are indeed very well made and contrary to some other reviews, they are quite sharp. We used them at Thanksgiving and recently at a holiday party and everyone commented on how nice they were and how sharp they were. And the wooden case? While it's a fairly basic wooden case, it's not really poorly made, and it perfectly stores the knives. Lastly, my recommendation is to hand wash these knives as I'm not sure the dishwasher would be best in the long-term. For the money, these knives, along with the case, are a true bargain. You won't be sorry purchasing them.

Beautiful knife set in a lovely wooden box. These are sharp enough to handle a decent steak. They feel nice in the hands and look expensive. They washed well in the dishwasher and they have a nice weight to them. I feel they will be durable and be used for many years. We needed some new steak knives but I didn't want to pay a fortune for them. These did the trick for us.

This is an extremely nice knife set. The knives are both functional and beautiful, and the case keeps them safe and secure without taking up much room in the kitchen. Plus, it was an excellent value for the money.

These are nice but basic steak knives. I would not say they are fancy but they are cleanly designed and stylish enough to be at home with most place settings. I needed a matching set of eight and these filled the need. I found them to be sharp enough for immediate use and easy to clean by hand.

This product was needed as our current steak knife set has saw better days. I like how the handle itself is made of the same material as the blade, and not plastic. It is a comfortable feel if you like knives with a skinnier handle. If you require a better grip with a thicker handle, this is not the product for you. The metal quality is very good, and from using this for about a year, the quality of the material is still withstanding our use. We do not put items like this in a dishwasher, even if advertised it is dishwasher safe, just to protect the material, but that is just our preference. These knives are good for everyday use, but the one knock I will give it, is I would not give this to family/friends if I have them over for a rib roast dinner. The reason I could not give it 5 stars is the sharpness of the blade. The description of "razor sharp" is a marketing ploy and slightly misleading as "razor sharp" quality from person to person has a different meaning. I have very good chef knives at home that are truly "razor sharp". If you are to test these against a ribeye, or a porterhouse cut of beef, it will get the job done, but the cut is not up to par to give this a 5 star rating.

I love these steak knives. Slender and not gaudy. Easy to hold and cuts with ease. I love these steak knives case and keep them in the case until I use them. Dishwasher safe too. I’m getting myself another set.

This was on my granddaughter's wedding register. The price was much better than on her wedding register.

These "steak knives" are a joke. I remember reading a comment somewhere that these knives are glorified butter knives, and I should have trusted it. Since these knives have the twin logo, I thought I would give it a chance. These knives are as sharp as my butter knives (not an exaggeration at all), but has a pointy end. The serrations are on one side of the knife, and they are as small as what you find on butter knives. The serrations cover around half the knife, and the rest of the knife is fat and dull. I cooked a steak today and tried to cut it with this knife. I absolutely massacred the steak (in a bad way) trying to cut it. Also since the handle is metal, if you get oil or grease on it, you will lose grip. The only positive thing these knives have going for it is the weight, but that's worthless if it can't do the one job they were designed to do. Funny enough, I own the henckels steak knives with the one man logo and they cut way better than these knives. I'm convinced that either all of the reviews are paid shills, or people have never held a proper steak knife before.

Excellent quality

Nice knife set. Very simple but elegant design and easily matches our Henckels cutlery set. One knife did have a wee bur on the top but does not affect the use. Had to file it down though.
